Villa with panoramic sea views, five minutes from private beach of Gaou Benat.

'Villa Louise' is 20 minutes from Toulon airport with its direct access to London Stansted and is situated in the exclusive guarded domain of Gaou Benat, which has its own private sandy beach for people living in the Domaine. The location is quiet and relaxing but only ten minutes from Le Lavandou's many lively restaurants and bars and the picturesque mediaeval hill village of Bormes Les Mimosas. Every room except the bathroom has a wonderful sea view and the living room and bedrooms have full length glazed doors leading directly on to the large secluded terrace with its panoramic views along the coast towards St Tropez and the Iles d'Or. The villa is on a quiet wooded hill and a footpath leads down through the trees to the beach below which can also be accessed by car (3 mins). There is ample parking near the villa and at the beach.

The Cap Benat area is known for its wild, unspoilt countryside, clean sandy beaches and rocky coves. The private sandy beach is safe for swimming and has good snorkeling areas around the rocks. Sailing boats can be hired in the high season and tennis courts are available to rent all year. On the West side of the Cap the beaches are especially fine and shelve gently into the sea making them particularly safe for young children. Cap Benat is reputed to have more days of sunshine than any other part of France (average temperature in July and August is 28C with 12 hours sunshine a day!) and is famous in France for being the location of the French President's summer residence at Fort de Bregancon. The villa is well located for trips to St Tropez (35 Km), the Isles d'Or, Gorges du Verdon and for exploring the medieval villages in the Maures Mountains such as Bormes-les-Mimosas. Bedroom 2 is a family room and can be divided into two by means of a sliding partition. There is a double bed in one side and 2 singles arranged as bunk beds in the other. This room also has double glazed doors leading to the terrace and a sea view. There is a second window at the back of the room and ample wardrobe space.

Notes:

The large living/dining room has magnificent sea views with double French doors on two sides, comfortable leather sofa and armchairs and a dining table which seats six. The main bedroom has twin beds, a washbasin, large built-in wardrobe and a sea view through the double French doors, which open on to the terrace. The second large bedroom can be converted into two rooms by means of a sliding partition giving a double bed in one room and two bunk beds in the other with built-in wardrobes in both rooms. This room is really only suitable as a family room. It also has double French doors to the terrace. The modern bathroom has a shower, toilet and basin and washing machine. There is also a separate toilet. Walled garden and patio area with sunshade. Sun loungers are provided.

Courts are available for hire at the beach. Covered and open air courts are also available for hire by the hour at Le Lavandou.

Sailing, Windsurfing and Diving.

Sailing boats and windsurfers can be hired by the hour from the beach in the high season. Diving tuition is also available. Scuba diving is very popular in the area and can be arranged at Port de Bormes about 10 minutes away. Motor boats and sailing yachts can also be hired here and at Le Lavandou.

We must have been to Villa Louise more than 12 times and over the years have become very fond of the area and the villa.There are numerous excellent restaurants locally and the villa owner always has up to date information available.The views from the terrace must be some of the finest on the Riviera and the location of the villa in the private gated estate guarantees a calm and relaxing holiday. A car is absolutely essential.
