Le Pad

In a beautiful location, safe and secure environment, with space inside and out, clean, functional, Le Pad is all you need for a holiday base.
The facilities suited us perfectly- a room each, the living room with a large table, the terrace table, huge with benches enough for a dozen people, and some comfy terrace chairs and a coffee table for a few more, even a daybed!
One lovely thing was indeed the terrace- after dark, with a glass of wine, star-gazing with the sound of the sea gentle in the background, and little to disturb your peace.
The beach is a few minutes walk, and is a slice of heaven. A few evenings we went for a midnight swim- just us- bliss!
As for getting around- we drove in from Montpellier through the Camargue. The route was lovely; beaches, countryside, and mountains.
One day we made it to Castellane and La Gorge du Verdon; that was a long day on the road, but well worth it for the utterly spectacular scenery, and a long list of beautiful and interesting "villes" along the way.
Another highlight (so many!) was St Tropez (and Port Grimaud). Easy to get to, such beautiful spots- impressive for many reasons, least of all the ostentatious wealth, really...though the yachts and property are undeniably stunning.
There is quite enough within a 50km range of the apartment to keep you well entertained, well-fed, and satisfied. Water-sports, history, beaches-a-plenty, vinyards, towns, countryside...so much to occupy you that you will never be bored here.
Try Cavalaire-Sur-Mer, Le Lavandou, Borme-Les-Mimosas- each charming and engaging- walk the back streets as well- many little gems for the eye to be found. And, the markets are really vibrant with loads of good quality food, clothes, and stuff for the house to choose from.
Food is generally of a high standard. St Tropez let us down! But that was the only instance of anything less than delicious, and the little pizza restaurant in La Fossette provided among the nicest food we had.
I would suggest a car is a real boon for a stay here. There seems to be good public transport, but there are many small places they won't take you which are easy to get to in a car. We hired a small car for £150 or so- £10ish a day each- not bad..
One note of caution: a steep road and steps prohibits disabled access- forget it if this applies to you
Le Pad at La Fossette is well worthy of consideration. If you like the sound of it, you will love the reality.
