A morning swim in the Med, coffee at Maurin des Maures, our excellent bar/restaurant, then the 1 km stroll home, picking up a paper, croissants and bread for breakfast, popping into La Boucherie for something tasty for lunch. Notes to the rental rates

  • Please consult our booking conditions which appear on our main web site - follow the link found towards the bottom of this page, marked 'Links: Owners Website'. If there is any discrepancy between this advert and the information found on our main web site, then what you read on our main web site will apply (we have tried hard to ensure that they are consistent).
    IMPORTANT NOTE: for the months of November - March inclusive, My-Villa is rented as a four bedroomed villa only. Bedroom 5 (please see below) is not at your disposal, although 'the den', the adjacent living room, remains available for use. Why? The owners mainly occupy My-Villa in the low season, November to March, and they need some private storage for their possessions. Without some reserved storage space, the sporadic low season rentals are a major disruption - and a short move elsewhere involves as much effort as moving out for an extended period. Plus, groups tend to be smaller in the winter. Please see the main web site.
  • A deposit of 25% secures a booking. A telephone/Email/Internet reservation will be held for five days until payment of the 25% deposit is received. Payment in full is due eight weeks before the booked arrival time. Bookings made within eight weeks of the arrival time require payment in full. All payments received for rental of the villa are strictly non-refundable. To guard against potential loss in the case where you cannot take up your booking, you should arrange adequate insurance. Rental price includes normal use of water, all year round and normal use of electricity for the months of April to September inclusive. For the months of October to March inclusive, there is a charge made for electricity, calculated from meter readings, to cover the cost of warm air heating. The heating is provided by our very efficient air conditioning system, which works on a heat pump principal - one kilowatt of electricity provides 4.5 kilowatts of heating (or cooling in the summer).
  • A security payment of 1000 Euros (or 750 pounds sterling, or 1500 US dollars) against damage and the cost of telephone calls is payable two weeks before the date of your arrival. In the case of no damage at the property this payment is refundable in full minus the cost of telephone calls made. Please note, that since you have the facility to make free phone calls to many countries (see below) the cost of your calls would normally be minimal. For our American guests, if you wish to make the security payment in US dollars, please discuss this with us - we will accept a banker's check.

Tiling throughout the bathrooms in the villa is in hand-made Salernes tiles, with colour schemes typical of vibrant yet under stated Provencal panache - rose, peppermint green, antique white, azure blue. Showers are spacious, the water supply powerful. Hot water is provided by an electric storage system, duplicated and linked to provide an element of redundancy. All water charges are included in the rental price.

  • All bedrooms have French windows that lead directly onto a terrace. Bed linen/towels provided for your convenience. Beach/pool towels are not provided. Twice weekly maid service included, mid + end of week. The final maid visit is an end of rental clean (but please leave the villa relatively clean and tidy). All the beds are very comfortable with firm mattresses (no back problems for those with sensitive backs). Three of the double bedrooms have their own en-suite bathroom facilities, whilst one double bedroom and the twin bedroom share a separate bathroom. There is also a separate toilet. Bedroom 5, at the far end of the villa, has a private living room adjacent to it (the den). Together these comprise the master bedroom suite of 36 sq.m. The den is furnished with a leather sofa bed, which if needed, offers comfortable, private sleeping for two. The den may also be used as a nursery for a younger child or baby, with the convenience of being immediately next door to bedroom 5.

37' 16:9 flat screen TV, so bring your favourite DVDs. Garden furniture in high quality resin (Triconfort) or forged iron. Extensive terrace areas, some sunny, others providing welcome shade. Adjacent to the kitchen and dining room is a covered terrace with additional electrically operated blind, providing dining facilities for 10/12. The Den and bedrooms 4 & 5 open onto a large (64 sq. m.) terrace, providing a mixture of shade and sunlight. Surrounded by natural stone terracing planted with fruit trees and shrubs, and featuring a magnificent granite table with forged iron seating for eight, this area provides an enchanting setting for evening dining. The pool has underwater lighting and an electrolyte filtration system that produces pristine water conditions, gentle on the skin, with no chlorine sting to the eyes. The pool area is fully enclosed with wrought iron fencing and 'child proof' locks on access gates, designed to conform to new French law for child safety. Barbecue provided.

Facilities at the villa, in Le Rayol & elsewhere:

Mid-way between St. Tropez and Le Lavandou. It's a perfect setting for beach holiday fun and games, with or without children. Le Rayol itself offers all you need for a perfect seaside holiday - 2 beaches (both with restaurants), supermarket, excellent restaurants, a bar, butcher, baker, newsagent, hairdresser, chemist, florist, filling station and a shop for swim wear. You have choice - the peace and tranquility of Rayol and its environs, or you can venture further afield and sample the more boisterous lifestyle of St. Tropez, only 25 minutes away. The nearest town is Cavalaire, 5 km away, for supermarkets, shopping, the port, casino and restaurants. The nearest village is Cavalière, also 5 km away, for its beach restaurants and water/children's activities. At the villa there are 4 sun loungers, plus ample other garden furniture for enjoying an outdoor lifestyle. And we have an ice making machine, so you can always keep your drinks and yourself cool.

Children's Activities:

So much to keep children amused and occupied, most nearby, others within an hour. We have a games chest, in the Den. There are lots of beaches, sand and water! Plus our pool. Rayol has two beaches, the nearest one being under a kilometer away, a 10 min walk taking the short cut, 4 min by car. Other excellent beaches nearby are Cavalaire (excellent port), Canadel, Pramousquier, Cavaliere, La Fossette, Aiguebelle and St. Clair. Many of these beaches have pedalos, water skiing, parascending, wind surfing, dingy sailing and more. All have fine sand, are very safe, ideal for the simple things, such as snorkelling. Also a mini-harbour (5 min) where children can captain their very own boat, 'Niagra' water park (15 min) with 7 water slides, mini-golf (15 min) set in an exotic garden, children's attraction park (25 min) with all the fun of the fairground, exotic bird sanctuary (25 min), OK Coral cowboy town (60 min) with live western shows and children's fairground. You'll probably find others!

Other Activities beaches, Domaine du Rayol botanical gardens, local markets, boat trips, water park, bird sanctuary, excellent dining, wine tasting, relaxation!!

Golf Information:
