This charming, spacious villa provides a quiet haven amongst lush, semi-tropical gardens. The wisteria-covered entrance to the villa leads to a large, wooden-beamed salon with an open dining area and traditional fireplace. French doors lead out to a large south-facing terrace shaded by leafy vines. The terrace can also be accessed directly from the fully-equipped kitchen. There are three spacious double/twin bedrooms, one single bedroom which can take an extra cot, one full bathroom with toilet, bath and shower, a shower room with toilet and a separate toilet. Following down steps from the terrace, is a free-form, in-ground pool (which measures 11 x 7m at its widest point) surrounded by palm trees and a fountain which flows from a surrounding rock formation. There is a large covered summer kitchen, complete with BBQ and running water, which provides a second alternative for alfresco eating. Lorgues is a medieval village located in the center of Provence with a wonderful weekly market. The villa is situated in over half an acre of semi tropical and mature gardens at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac on the outskirts of Lorgues.

Location : Lorgues is approximately 1 hours drive from the Mediterranean, the Gorges du Verdon (the Grand Canyon of Europe) and the villages of St Paul de Vence and Aix-en-Provence, renowned for their art cultures. International airports include Nice (I hour), Marseille (75 minutes) and Toulon/ Hyeres (I hour).

Activities: The property offers a perfect base for exploring Provence and the Cote d'Azur. There are numerous local markets, vineyards and restaurants. The local restaurant, Chez Bruno, renowned for his truffles offers a truly gastronomic experience. First class golf at the Golf de Barbaroux can be found within a half hour drive. The waterfall of Sillans la Cascade is also only a 30 minute drive where a pleasant walk of 800 meters through the woods leads you to this 42 meter high cascade under which you can swim. The Gorges du Verdon with its many activities including white water rafting, kayaking and boating is a mere hour away.

Terms and Conditions: The rates for the property include: water, electricity, linen, towels (however beach towels are not provided). A Security Deposit (£400) is required. A 25 % deposit is required at the time of booking with the balance due 8 weeks before the booking commences.

A little paradise in France

I visited this property with 4 friends and had a wonderful stay.

We prefer not to be with other people and their children so this was perfect.

There are local supermarkets and a street market to get your food and drink - we also visited a vinyard to top up!

The house is a large 'family' home with a pool and garden. The outside kitchen means the cook doesn't have to be alone whilst preparing the dinner.

A perfect holiday home, I wish it belonged to me
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
