The villa is our second home and we live in it for a few months each year. For 20 years we spent most of our holidays in different parts of France and eventually decided that this area of Provence provided everything we wanted - glorious countryside, beautiful villages, tranquility but was also close to beaches and towns. We bought our villa 6 years ago and thoroughly enjoy every minute we spend in it. We have explored a lot of the surrounding area but there are always new places to visit.
The garden, pool area, bedrooms and lounge have incredible views, especially of the sunrise over the Esterel hills! There are several sitting and dining areas - you can choose whether you want to sit and eat inside, by the pool, on the terrace, or on the covered terrace. The mature garden has many exotic plants such as yucca and aloe vera and a variety of trees including olives, oaks and palms. We well as a private pool we have a boule pitch built by the previous owner - a game for all the family
Interesting events to see and places to visit :
The villa is 3.5 km from Montauroux which has several shops and restaurants and there is a large supermarket less than a 10 minute drive away. A short drive away is Lac St Cassien where you can swim or hire canoes and pedaloes or just enjoy a good meal in a lakeside restaurant! Within a 20 minute drive are the ancient hill-top villages of Fayence, Callian, Tourettes, Mons and St Cézaire and the town of Grasse, famous for its perfume industry. There are several beaches within a 40 minute drive including Antibes, Cannes, Ste Maxime, St Aygulf and Agay. An hour’s drive will take you to St Tropez, Monaco, the spectacular Gorge du Verdon (the deepest gorge in Europe) Lac de Ste Croix (the largest man made lake in Europe)and ski slopes. The surrounding area is excellent for walking, water sports and activities such as gliding and horse riding. There are several special events in the area including the Nice Festival, the Cannes Film Festival, the Monte Carlo Rally and the Monaco Grand Prix.
Other information:
We provide pillows, continental quilts and bedlinen for all the beds together with one hand towel and one bath towel per guest. Beach towels are also provided. The bedlinen is changed weekly. The villa will be thoroughly cleaned prior to your arrival.
We have a child's cot, but no bedlinen and also a booster seat which can be used from 9 months to 2-3 years..
