Villa in Cogolin, near St Tropez

Our attractive villa is well furnished, set in a securely walled garden, and has marvellous views over the town and the Maures hills beyond. Shops, supermarket with petrol, restaurants and two weekly markets are a short walk. The spacious salon and dining area has plenty of comfortable seating, and includes satellite TV, with DVD, Hi-Fi and separate broadband access. There is a cloakroom and a well equipped kitchen. Upstairs the large master bedroom has a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom. There are 3 further bedrooms (2 double, 1 twin) in the East Wing on the ground floor, all furnished in Provençal style, and a second bathroom with twin basins, and separate toilet. All bedrooms are equipped with ceiling or pedestal fans. The front terrace has an integral BBQ. The large garage has washing facilities. The garden has a good selection of mature trees and shrubs and several seating areas. The private pool is 7m x 3.5m, and has Roman steps and a jet for current swimming.

Cogolin is a delightful small country town set back from the sea on the edge of the Maures hills. It offers easy access to St Tropez (5m), Ste Maxime and all the beaches and marinas in the area, whilst Nice, Cannes, Monaco, Aix-en-Provence and Marseilles are within easy reach by car. The local supermarket and other shops are two minutes away on foot, and excellent markets are held in the town every Wednesday and Saturday. There is a large range of very good restaurants in the town of varying prices. Wine growing is one of the main industries in the region, which produces fine rose wine and robust reds. Cogolin itself is famous for its briar pipes, hand-made woven rugs, both of which you can see being made, cork products and reeds for musical instruments which go all over the world. Then visit St Tropez and watch the boats and people, while chilling out with a drink or ice-cream on the quayside.
