Excellent villa with shared pool in historic village - 9km St Maxime
Ideal family-sized villa situated just a few miles inland at Plan de la Tour on a private domain of similar properties sharing the large swimming pool, children's pool, tennis court, boules court and children's play area. The charming and very active village of Plan de la Tour in the heart of the Massif des Maures has a population of nearly 2500 and is situated not far from Sainte Maxime or Saint Tropez. From the villa the historic centre of the village is a short stroll away where there are two hotels, everyday local shops, tennis courts and seven restaurants or it is only 20km or 10 - 15 minutes’ drive to the delightful and chic resort of Sainte Maxime in the Gulf of St Tropez with its sandy beaches and many restaurants and several supermarkets. World renowned Saint Tropez is a further 8km away by road or guests can take the regular water taxi service from Sainte Maxime harbour. For a complete contrast the sleepy villages and countryside of inland Provence are easily accessible.

Plan de la Tour is a historic unspoilt village dating from medieval times surrounded by forests of pine and oak offering the peace and calm of Provence in the shade of the plane trees but with easy proximity to the coast and the glitz and excitement of the Gulf of St. Tropez. Easy day trips to Monte Carlo are possible or alternatively just a little inland there is the 'Arrière-Pays Varois' - the hinterland of the Var 'département' with delightful countryside of hills and valleys, vineyards and pine forests. Because of the wonderfully sunny climate agricultural production is varied and plentiful. There are 37,000 hectares ( 90,000 acres ) of vineyards traditionally worked - often over many generations -by 450 different vintners. For visitors the choice of fresh produce is wonderful as this region produces every conceivable fruit and vegetable, honey (27,000 hives), lavender, thyme and ,of course, olive oil and is the largest producer of flowers in all of France.
