Sainte-Maxime holiday villa: Plan de la Tour

We would highly recommend this Villa for a family holiday. The detailed description of the property provided is accurate in terms of both facilities and accommodation provided. Situated in a wonderfully quiet location on a south facing hillside surrounded by vineyards yet very close to the delightful village of Plan de la Tour with all the amenities & facilities a family should require. The property has 4 good sized double bedrooms with a very large lounge /dinning area which leads directly onto a delightful covered terrace area equipped with large farmhouse table/chairs & very comfortable large Rattan Sofa with two armchairs. We spent most of our time eating and relaxing here when not by the pool soaking up the wonderful views. The kitchen in the house is very well equipped for cooking almost any type meal you want to produce with a plentiful supply of crockery/glass etc which from our experience is sadly missing in many self catering Villa’s. The swimming pool is excellent size for a large family with plenty of comfortable loungers /umbrellas available and added bonus of a covered Barbecue /summer kitchen area. The swimming pool is kept in pristine condition via regular visits by owners pool maintenance contractors, any issues with house can be dealt with swiftly via local English management agents who are based in a nearby town. The villa is in a great location for easy access to many wonderful villages and the resorts of St Maxime, St Tropez &.Port Grimaud.The weekly Thursday Market at Plan de Tour is a must to stock up with local produce. We recommend you take the Ferry from St Maxime to St Tropez, it’s a lovely journey across the bay into to Harbour & centre of St Tropez, beats sitting in traffic which can take an hour plus at peak times by car!
Plan de La Tour has a good choice of Bars & Restaurants to choose from to suit all pockets and tastes. We recommend you try L'Aioli for typical French cooking and Restaurant Plan de la Tour for a little more sophistication. In St Maxime we recommend L'Amiral right on the Quayside, excellent food, service and wonderful views of Harbour/bay especially at night but book to get outside table.
