This traditional Provencal stone house is located in the midst of acres of secluded olive groves and vines, bordered by private woods and just minutes away from the charming, medieval, hilltop village of Carces. Set in a shallow valley with abundant sunshine, the thick stone walls keep the house refreshingly cool in summer. The large pool (10X5 meters) is perfectly positioned to enjoy the picturesque landscape and luxuriate in the peaceful, quiet setting. The house can accommodate six people with 2 double bedrooms and 1 twin bedroom. The sitting room with fireplace leads to a back terrace where one can enjoy the views, while the front of the house has a covered terrace with barbeque for alfresco dining. The large kitchen can sit 8 people and has recently been renovated as have the two bathrooms (one with full bathtub, the other with a rain shower) which are decorated with traditional ceramic tiles from the neighbouring village of Salernes.

Carces dates from the 11th century and is one of the many charming, medieval villages in the area to visit. The Var region remains unspoilt and picturesque and is considered as one of the South of France’s most beautiful areas; a perfect place to stay and explore locally the many excellent restaurants, superb markets and wonderful vineyards. Likewise, located in the heart of Provence, Carces is a great location to explore further afield as it is just a short distance inland from the Cote d’Azur and its lovely beaches such as Frejus, St. Maxime or St. Tropez which are within a 45 minute drive. Cannes, Marseille, Toulon and Aix-en-Provence are also an hour’s drive away. To the North you can visit the Gorges du Verdon, the Grand Canyon of Europe, for white water rafting, boating and kayaking. A choice of many excellent golf courses are within easy reach as well, including the Golfe de Barbaroux located in Brignoles, a 20 minute drive from Carces.

We had a great time at Dei feligue. It's very quiet, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, yet not far away from the village centre.
Recommended for:  Sightseeing, Families with Young Children
