- Gorges du Verdon (1 hour), one of France's greatest sights, with magnificent views of Europe's deepest canyons from the top or an exciting walk through it

The house contains a comprehensive guide to the villa, how things work, the shops and facilities of Salernes, nearby restaurants (more than ten are listed in Michelin and Gault-Millau) and suggestions of things to do in the locality. There are also a collection of indoor games, a small library that includes guide books, local maps and cookery books. A travel cot, high chair and push chair can be made available. The pool is equipped with an alarm that conforms to the French law.
