THE AREA:
The Corniche d'Esterel is truly beautiful without the commercialisation of the Nice - Cannes area. The coastal road from Cannes has wonderful scenery & many fantastic viewing points. Antheor is the residential district of Agay. The villa is about 1km from Agay. Renoir & Van Gogh amongst others found their inspiration here!
There are so many things to do - it is definitely one of the 'seven wonders of the world'! We hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Activities - boat, bike, quad, organised walking trips, golf..... We will help you with any queries.
The villa is well stocked with local & Provencal info brochures & the Tourist Office in Agay has a multitude of suggestions to while away months of holidays.

Parc Zoologique de Frejus: Established in 1971 on 50 acres of natural Mediterranean woodland.
Les Bateaux Blues Saint Raphael: daily trips along the coast.

Waterpark aquarium - Marineland at Antibes: aquarium & dolphin shows, etc.
Aquavision d'Agay: Underwater viewing trip in glass bottom boats.
Grand Canyon du Lac Verdon:The French Grand Canyon - spectacular views with the river Verdon running along the bottom of the gorge.
Walking & or cycling in the Esterels - organised trips if you like. The paths are very well signposted for independent enjoyment - magnificent scenery with views from St Tropez to Antibes!!!

PADI diving courses available near Dramont (3km away). Snorkelling is wonderful along the coast - just cross the road & in you go!!!

Walking & cycling in the Esterel mountains is a delightful experience. There are organised sunrise, mid day & sunset walks with a guide & complimentary refreshments. The trails are very well signposted for independent exploring.
Ski:
The French Riviera is not only famous for its coastline - the nearby mountain villages and ski resorts have gained in popularity over the years! Guaranteed sunshine, snow and mountain peaks reaching 3000 metres in altitude - within 1-2 hours drive! If you don't want to drive, there is a daily/weekly bus from Nice airport to most of the resorts. There are ski & boot hire facilities at all the resorts.

VALESCURE GOLF COURSE: is 5- 10 min from the villa. Created during the last century, designed by Lord Ashcomb, Valescure is the oldest course in the Var, and the sixth to exist in France. 5061 metres in length and designed similar to British courses. The Riviera Open and the Valescure Amateur Grand Prix are two major competitions that take place on the course. 18 Holes, 35 Practice Holes, Handicap required.
