La Source is a beautiful old converted stone farmhouse with heavenly uninterrupted views over the Luberon hills. It sleeps 10+ in 5 bedrooms/3 bathrooms. There is also an additional guest cottage available which sleeps an 4+ people in 2 bedrooms/1 bathroom. In its 2 acres of totally secluded grounds it has a stunning, large heated swimming pool (12m x 8m), a tennis court and beautiful lawned terraces with shady trees. It has recently been converted and renovated to a very high standard and is well furnished and equipped with daily maid service and a wide variety of games such as table football/tennis. A huge terrace has one of the best views of the Luberon and is perfect for slow Provencal meals. It is a perfect retreat to enjoy this exquisite part of Provence in the midst of lavender fields. It is 80 mins from Marseilles airport; 50 mins from Avignon (TGV). The picturesque village of St Martin de Castillon, with a bar, grocery shop and boules pitch, is 10 mins walk away.

St Martin de Castillon is in the Luberon National Park which is a stunning area to explore whether on foot, bicycle or horse. The Luberon hills run E-W through the region which is halfway between the Alps and the Mediterranean. There are endless Luberon villages to visit such as Gordes, Roussillon, Bonnieux, Loumarin and Isle sur la Sorgue; while Avignon is 50 mins away and Aix en Provence 1hr. Every day there's a market in one of the surrounding villages. There's a great selection of restaurants in the area - from farmhouse to top Michelin. A number of golf courses in the area.Stables close by with rides from an hour to 2 days. Rafting, Canoing, ballooning can all be arranged as day trips. The sea is about 90 mins away - and sailing/speedboats can easily be hired for a day on the sea. The historic village of Viens is a 7 min drive away and Apt, the thriving capital of the Luberon with its many shops and famous market, is a 12 min drive away.

La Petite Source: La Petite Source is 5m from the main house, and was built in 2002 to provide additional self-contained accommodation for large parties. It has one double and one twin bedroom (both 4.7m x 2.5m), with superb views over the Luberon hills, a large fully equipped kitchen, sitting/dining area and bathroom with shower and bath. Around the house is a large balcony. If you just rent the main house, La Petite Source will remain empty.

'Can't tell you how much we fell in love with La Source. Your descriptions of the place are exactly on point - no exaggerations - and the photos, while accurate, just begin to suggest the beauty of the view. Heaven indeed.

'Based on the photos on the web site and in the brochure, my expectations were high for La Source. I am pleased to report that the reality was even better. The house is great for a family or group of friends, the grounds flowered and natural and the view of the lush valley below enchanting. It makes a great base for touring the region. 'It's difficult to get a real idea of the place from the photos, but it is exactly what we'd dreamed of. A view to die for; totally quiet; a delightful home; and, most importantly, endless tennis, swimming, table tennis etc to keep the kids happy. I couldn't think of a nicer house
