This secluded cottage nestles in its own grounds within a peaceful hamlet in the foothills of Mont Ventoux, 5 minutes drive from Malaucene, which, each Wednesday, hosts its own street market, typical of Provence. The stylishly furnished accommodation comprises a large living room with satellite TV, DVD & Hi-fi , a separate dining room, good size well equipped kitchen (washing machine, dishwasher, microwave etc), three bedrooms – one double with en-suite shower room, and two twin rooms. There is also a large family bathroom with bath and shower. Bed linen and towels are provided. There is a good sized garden containing lawns, flower beds and a variety of fruit trees including apricots and cherries. A rear terrace, with a pretty wrought iron surround, is attached to the house. In the garden is a 10m by 5m private swimming pool with spacious surrounding patios and a pavilion with summer kitchen, sitting area and barbecue.

The area is renowned for its varied landscapes, distinctive cuisine, famous wines, ancient traditions and fragrant lavender. Until mid-summer the plateaux and hills of Provence are carpeted with fields of sweetly aromatic, purple lavender flowers, stretching to the horizon where mauve fields meets blue sky. Mont Ventoux is the highest mountain in the region attracting many walkers and cyclists. Around the foothills of Mont Ventoux are many fascinating villages and the breathtaking Gorge de la Nesque, one of the biggest canyons in the world. Wine areas of the Cotes du Rhones region within easy reach include Gigondas, Chateauneuf-du-Pape and Rasteau.

  • Prices include bed linen and towels.
    50% of the booking fee is payable at the time of booking and the balance within 6 weeks of the start of your stay. There is, in addition, a €300 damage deposit which is fully refundable after the end of your stay if no loss or damage is incurred. This is payable with the balance of the booking fee and refundable within 4 weeks of the end of your stay.
