We will definitely be back

A lovely Christmas new year experience. Cosy house with fire and everything needed to make us feel at home.
The village is really cute and so different from what we are used to in a busy city. We plan a trip back in late summer and can't wait. Visitors won't be disappointed. Sometimes you have expectations which are unrealised, this more than we expected for the rent. We have stayed in more expensive places and not had half the benefits of house, location etc that we had in this house. Thank you for a lovely holiday.
Owner's Response: Thank you. Sorry I couldn't make the invitation for the New Year celebration; Was in UK. Look forward to seeing you again in the summer.

A great house in a stunning village

Ollie & Sheryl London, UK
Review Submitted: September 8, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
We've just spent the perfect week in Venasque, a lovely, very beautiful and friendly village. It had a great restaurant just round the corner which was reasonably priced and also had a nice terrace with good views, while the food was excellent. Unfortunately the other restaurant in the village was shut the week we were there, but maybe that is just the excuse we need to come back next year. There was also a nice Boulangerie whose staff were very friendly. Venasque is well located being only a short drive from Avignon and Orange, but still benefitted from being exceptionally peaceful.

The house is fantastic, full of character and history being right behind the ramparts. The views from the terrace of Mont Ventoux and the surrounding countryside were stunning, while it was also quite private, not really being overlooked by anyone. It is very well appointed, with a good kitchen, and the bed was very comfortable. Rooms were a good size and there was plenty of space. The owner was friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

A fabulous place to unwind and relax, very comfortable, charming house, all amenities available, loved staying there, and hope to go back.
The village and views of Mt Ventoux are exceptional, with many vineyards, walks, cycling within easy reach of the house.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this holiday home to anyone wanting the provence experience.
Very helpful friendly owner, who is only to happy to give any help when required.
Great restaurants in village, a few short paces away from the house.

Happily lost in Provence

Chris, Nola and the kids Perth, Australia
Review Submitted: August 11, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
Venasque was fantastically isolated and quiet which suited us. Then staying in the "castle with four levels" as our three kids 5,10 and 11 called it further added to the experience. Overall plenty of room to relax and spread out, fantastic views, great countryside, friendly town people and a great spot to do day trips from. We attended both restaurants in Venasque and still rate them our best in all of France for the food - it was great. And the bakery each morning with the lovely friendly staff was just a great start to the day.
You do need to drive everywhere outside of town (or for bikers - ride) but we loved getting out and travelling a different direction and to a new town every day.
So we have some great memories of our stay and look forward to returning one day.
