About Gordes:
Gordes is simply stunning to behold - a honey-coloured perched village typical of the Luberon but the best looking of all. It is the largest of the villages and the best served by restaurants, cafes and shops, year-round. In the summer there are many cultural events, in the winter you have the famous Abbaye de Senanque and Bories village, just outside Gordes, largely to yourself. Gordes is a perfect base for exploring the rest of the Luberon, and the whole of Provence. Market day in Gordes is Tuesday morning.

Are you creative?:
Some houses are simply ideal for writers and artists. Perhaps they have a stunning view high over valley and vineyards, or very cosy rooms where the sunlight streams in and warms you even in winter, or an open fireplace and the sight of chimneys smoking in the distance. Les Colombes has all of this. And there is no compromise on the quality of the accommodation - an artist's garret might only have a leaky bathtub in the corner, but this house has bathrooms in the luxury bracket, and a gleaming new fitted kitchen with triple aspect windows. For a week of inspiration or a few months in the winter, Les Colombes will put you in touch with your creative side.
