Newly built vacation home in Provencal style situated just a gentle stroll from the village, where you can find a bakery, grocery store, pharmacy & restaurants. The house is the vacation home of the owners so all the furnishings are both comfortable & attractive. There is a beautiful tiled terrace area off the living room and kitchen where you will want to sit & admire the magnificent views & where you are most likely to dine. A parasol can be used to provide shade when needed. The saltwater pool is surrounded by a teak deck with lots of sun chairs & lounger’s. There are wonderful walks in the surrounding hills and the area abounds with unique & charming villages such as Gordes, Roussillon and Bonnieux. All settings for the latest Peter Mayle film 'A Good Life' starring Russell Crow. The busiest antique area in France, l'Isle sur la Sorgue, is about 30 mins drive & you could browse in a different Provencal market every day of the week.

St Saturnin les Apt is a beautiful old village dating back to the 13th Century. Situated on the Vaucluse mountainside in the Parc Natural Regional du Luberon. The village has a year round population which means that it can support two bakeries, butcher, grocery store, pharmacy & post office. The village is full of narrow side streets which reveal beautiful old houses with decorated doors & porches. There are three cafés, two hotels & several restaurants. Tuesday morning is market day but there are markets in nearby villages every day. Apt on Saturday is very large and the farmers market in Coustellet on Sunday is excellent. The famous antique market in l'Isle sur la Sorgue is on Sunday but the antique shops are open all week. A day trip to Avignon is highly recommended as is a day in Aix en Provence. You will find plenty of wonderful walks in the surrounding 'garrigue'. Pathways are well marked & you can wander to Rustrel to see the Colorado Provencal, an ancient ochre quarry.

Further details on bedroom: The accommodation is all on one level, except for the twin bedroom bedroom which is reached by a spiral staircase. This is not suitable for the very elderly or the very young. There are three bedrooms: a king-size master bedroom with en suite bathroom with large walk in shower. A second king size bedroom with adjacent shower room also with large walk in shower and seperate toilet. The twin bedroom downstairs has its own patio and seperate entrance into garden.
