Tavel is a bustling little Provencal village largely devoted to its Rosé wine. Situated at approx 10 kms from Avignon, it is an ideal base for visiting all of Provence and particularly indicated for wine lovers being in the middle of the Cotes du Rhone . Art lovers will appreciate the treasures of Avignon and Nimes and also the proximity of all the summer artistic festivals, opera at Aix en Provence, recitals in the Roman amphitheatre of Orange to name just a few.

At just 10 mins drive from the beautiful city of Avignon with its impressive Papal Palace and large choice of famous restaurants, it is also a perfect base for exploring Provence. The Camargue is barely an hours drive away with all its wild life and the lovely towns of Aigues Mortes & St Maries de la Mer and long sandy beaches.
