This charming house was built in 1820, designed as a typical weekend retreat for wealthy Avignon merchants. Now situated in a select residential area of Les Angles, it enjoys a peaceful situation all being at walking distance from the bakers, butchers and two very fine « patisseries « ! For gourmets there are also two renowned restaurants just around the corner… Avignon is at just five minutes drive with all its fabulous historical sites, shops and more restaurants. « Le Mazet » has been completely restored and considerably enlarged from its original days. A very pretty cottage garden, abounding with flowers, leads on to the enclosed pool terrace (pool 8 x 3, 80m) where comfortable loungers are installed to enjoy the warm sunshine. A newly built wing harbours a very agreeable salon, stylishly decorated and well furnished with leather sofas installed in front of the stone built fireplace, so agreeable on a winter evening, with french windows leading on to the garden.

Les Angles is situated at just a short drive from the beautiful city of Avignon which is just down the hill and over the river at about 5 kms.. The Mazet is in a calm and peaceful situation in a quiet and select residential area but at easy walking distnce from a good choice of food shops and well known restaurants. It is an ideal base for visiting all of Provence being so centrally situated.
