Our luxurious villa, situated in a magnificent Golf and Country Club setting, overlooking the Luberon, is within walking distance of shops and restaurants. In the main house there are 3 bedrooms (2 king and 1 twin), l ensuite bathroom and l shower room, large lounge/dining area with fireplace, fully equipped kitchen and bar area, cloakroom, mezzanine with small double sofa bed, TV/DVD and study area with telephone and broadband access; further cloakroom. Facing the pool and opposite the main house, there is a separate guest annexe which can be rented with the main house. This comprises a large bedroom with king size bed and space for cot and/or folding bed, shower room, kitchen annexe and cupboard with shelves and hanging space. There is a large swimming pool and a very popular spacious jacuzzi, lawn with shaded area, sun terrace and covered terrace with table and chairs, BBQ, table tennis table and boules pitch. Pont Royal is in the heart of Provençe, close to Aix en Provençe, Avignon, the Luberon, Arles, St Rémy and the Camargue. Mallemort, at 4km, is the closest town. Pont Royal is 40 minutes from Marseille Airport and the TGV stations of Avignon and Aix en Provence, 3 hours from Paris by train and 2 hours by car from the nearest ski resorts. The Mediterranean beaches are within one hour. Isle sur la Sorgue is known worldwide for its famous antiques market. The Gorges du Verdon are also with easy driving distance. During the summer, music and arts festivals take place in Avignon and Aix en Provence and there is a music festival in July at La Roque d'Antheron.

  • Rates are quoted in euros. If, however, you wish to pay in sterling, the prevailing exchange rate as quoted on

  • NB: If you do not require the annexe, please deduct 500 euros from the price quoted. The annexe can only be rented in conjunction with the main house. In low season, a Saturday changeover is not necessary. There may be an additional heating charge during the winter season. A security/breakages policy of £500 per week or part thereof will be required. This will be returned after your return from holiday. Bed linen (changed weekly) and bath towels, heating and cleaning on arrival and departure are provided. The pool and jacuzzi are heated from 1st June to 31st August. If you require heating out with this period there will be an additional charge. A small welcome pack will be provided on your arrival. 24 hour on site security. 24/7 English/French speaking property manager. Extras: additional cleaning to be discussed with owner.

Notes: Six steps between lounge/dining area and bedroom area and there is a banister to aid the elderly or infirm. Staircase leads to the mezannine where the TV, DVD etc. and study area can be found. On the mezzanine there is a small double sofa bed and cloakroom. Outside there is a covered terrace with table and chairs for 10, built-in barbecue, boules pitch and table tennis table. A second terrace with table and chairs, adjoins the master bedroom and leads to the pool and jacuzzi which have an electrically operated cover. The pool is approx. 1 m deep in the shallow end and 2m in the deep end. There is a wave pool, large swimming pool, tennis courts, pedalloes, rowing boats, riding and children's clubs (vaccination certificates may be required) which are totally separate from the villa but can be booked through Pierre et Vacances, availability permitting. There will be a charge for using these facilities. Golf can be booked through the Golf Club. 2nd golf course opened summer 2010.

We have a fluent English/French speaking lady who manages our villa and who is available at all times to look after clients. She will arrange trips, baby sitting, cleaning etc. and will also help out whenever an emergency occurs. A cot and/or child bed can be provided free of charge if required.

Oustanding Villa and location

We returned to Mas Hirondelles for the second time this year and found the experience just as good if not better than that first time. The house has masses of room and all the facilities you could want including Sky Tv and Wireless Broadband for those times it's just too hot. We don't drive when we are away so the location of the house is perfect, a 2-3 minute walk to the village. The pool/jacuzzi and Table Tennis table were all well used and our 14 year old daughter and her pal enjoyed the privacy of the beautiful annexe. the views are simply magical and it was worth getting up early to enjoy my coffee watching the sun come over the hill and looking out over the valley. it has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Having been to this Villa, anything else would be a step down so, inevitably, we will back again in the future....book early though as it's really popular.
Recommended for:  Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, People with Disabilities, Romantic Getaway

We are just back from our wonderful stay at your villa in Mallemort so wanted to drop you a few lines.The entire family really enjoyed it. The villa is very well equipped (we found the internet connection really convenient) and ideally located.
The garden was lovely and the lavander smell when swimming added a special touch to the experience. All the indications you gave us were really helpful, thank you.
We are likely to be back next year!

Great Find!

Perfectly located from which to explore "la Belle Provence", provided you have a car. If, however, you prefer just to relax, there are lots of activites and amenities on site - great pizzas at La Farigoule!
(This is not recommended for city lovers, or those who want to go clubbing every night.)
The villa is exactly as described - and spotless. Stylishly furnished and decorated, it still exudes a warm and homely feeling, and was better equipped than our own home!
Enjoyed our trips to La Fontaine de Vaucluse (don't miss the Santons Museum) and Marseille where the open-top bus tour is worth taking. (Get off at Stop 4, go down some steps opposite and you'll find yourself in a secluded cove where you can have a great seafood meal at Chez Jeannot.)
Whilst we couldn't fault the villa, we noticed that the owner had taken up some recommendations which previous visitors had suggested in the Visitor's Book and we also met her manager who seemed very responsive and competent.
We have stayed in many luxury places around the world and this one is definitely one of our favourites. We have already started to recommend it to our friends and look forward to returning soon!
