This superb 16th century property with more recent additions will enchant you with its ambiance and entice you into long promenades of discovery. On the outside you will find a large terrace with a beautiful view of the Château des Baux de Provence, a translucent and sun drenched pool, and gardens and orchards where you can enjoy the sweetness of Provence. Inside the house there are comfortable rooms that encourage rest and relaxation, a well-equipped kitchen where you will find all the conveniences you could desire, and a living area and library that will seduce you with their comfort and refined decoration.

The charming villages of the area bustle with activity and color. And the local artisanal and farmer's markets are famous throughout Europe. Market days (les jours de marchés): Wednesday St Remy, Thursday Maussane, Friday St Martin De Crau, Saturday Arles. And finally, one should not overlook the 'Routes du vin de Pays' where one can sample the wonderful wines of the region.

Le Mas de l'Ange is a unique house with eclectic furnishings and a fabulous location set amongst a variety of fruit trees.
The owner responded promptly to emails, and was happy to answer any queries before we booked the house. We were met by the housekeeper, who maintains the house to a high standard. She was happy to be contacted during our stay if we needed advice or local knowledge.
We had a fantastic family holiday there, making use of the large pool and spacious accommodation.
From the terrace you can watch the sun setting over les Baux de Provence, less than 5km away.
The neighbouring village of Mausanne has a selection of shops and restaurants, most situated around a beautiful new square.
It is close to Arles and Avignon, and we also did day trips to the Camargue coast and into the Luberon.
We would highly recommend a holiday at Le Mas, and, in fact, intend to return ourselves in the future.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers

Great house for a relaxing summer holiday

This house is one of the most well-managed properties we have rented in Provence. The owner is very accommodating and is eager to make sure you have a great experience. The house is large and nicely laid-out so guests never feel on top of one another. The kitchen and dining areas make it the focal point of the house and its also is easy to dine outside with wonderful views of Les Baux de Provence. The pool is nicely situated and the house is set well back off the main road, so it's quiet and peaceful. In between Les Baux and St Remy, there was always lots to do in the surrounding area including visits to Castelas for the best olive oil and Mas de La Dame for great wine. The furnishings are comfortable and clean and the property was well-maintained. We have since recommended this property already to some friends. A car however is a must as it is not in easy walking distance to anything nearby.
Recommended for:  Sightseeing, Families with Young Children
