Villa La Pinede provides quality but very affordable accommodation with large heated pool. It has a total of 5 en-suite bedrooms all with UK satellite TV/DVD. Wide choice of hotel and self-catered options for individuals to groups of up to 12 in spacious, immaculately furnished accommodation plus great personal service. Many fine works of art and sculptures on display. The 500 sqm staffed villa with 14x5m well-heated pool and automatic cover is all set in 2 acres of private woodland in a superb Provence setting with magnificent views. There is a new sculpture garden in the woods with hammocks. The villa is approached by a private drive with automatic electronic gates. A peaceful relaxing holiday is assured with no children under 15 accepted unless whole villa booked. Superb modern 5 en-suite bedroom villa with large heated pool all set in 2 acres of private wooded grounds. The extensive and comfortable guest living area has a 42 inch Plasma screen TV with UK satellite plus DVD player and Hi-fi system and access to a DVD library of over 500 titles. All bedrooms have their own satellite TV and DVD player, and are themed- Picasso, Gauguin, Dali, Van Gogh and Mabula with a feel of South Africa . Guests also have access to the snooker room and mini-gym with music system. Pool-side bar plus well-stocked mini-bar.To reserve the whole of this staffed villa, you need to just book 8 adult catered places- 9 in July and August. A small kitchen area can be made available including fridge and microwave with double hob. The villa can accommodate up to 12 guests. Laundry service available and complimentary wash, dry and fold service per room for stays of 2 weeks or more. The property is not suitable for young children due to the naure of the grounds.

The villa with its heated pool is quietly and privately located a few minutes walk from Maussanne centre which is east or Arles. Maussanne has a wide variety of good restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets, with selection of shops and typical open-air Provencal cafes. Every Thursday there is a popular market where you can buy fresh local produce, souvenirs and of course-olives and olive-oil! A few minutes drive away is the historical Les Baux de Provence- a walled mediaeval town and castle built into the rocks. Here there are again a wide variety of shops, restaurants and also museums and art galleries- well worth a visit if you can bear to move away from the villa's pool. Avignon, Marseille, Nimes, St Remy de Provence, Arles, Aix-en-Provence are all very reachable in 15 -45 minutes with there superb shops, ancient monuments, museums and art-galleries.Don't forget to fit in trips to some of the fantastic near-by beaches of the Camargue- uncrowded and with nudist areas

  • Rates are for up to 10 guests on a catered basis- daily breakfast with 3 course dinner on 4 evenings per week - 3 in July and August with complimentary picnic and service washes for stays of 2 weeks+. Please send details of your group and requirements and we can quote accordingly if smaller or larger numbers and whole villa required. Shorter stays possible- details on request. B&B and all-inclusive available. Optional facility of kitchen in Picasso room if group wishes to prepare some meals itself. Whilst bookings can include children in the group as whole villa is being booked, the grounds and upstairs not suitable for very young children.
  • Payments can be taken over the phone by credit card in Euros. Deposit of 1000 Euros per week to confirm booking with balance due 8 weeks before arrival.
  • Pool heating and daily maintenance by staff. Daily house-keeping. Extra meals can be reserved as can art and walking tours.

The solar-heated pool has a salt electrolysis disinfection system so no runny chlorine eyes! There is an electrically operated cover for the pool providing added pool security for peace of mind. The rates quoted include daily breakfast with a 3 course dinner provided on 4 evenings per week- 3 in July and August- with daily house-keeping including kitchen area of the Picasso kitchen area. Wine tours and walking tours: We will be happy to take guests on wine-tours to visit some of the hundreds of vine-yards in the region. Routes include Les Baux de Provence- nearest is St Berthe- a few minutes drive away, Aix de Provence- again nearest only 15 minutes, Chateau Neuf du Pape- 45 minutes away but you will be able to sample some of the finest wines in the world, Costieres de Nimes, Faugeres and St Chinian, to name but a few. 2 weeks is not long enough to visit all of the vine-yards, and your liver will probably give way first! We will do the driving so you can fully enjoy yourself. We have spent years of hard, dedicated research to find the best vine-yards to visit and wines to taste - a very hard job, but someone has to do it. We are keen walkers and can take you on walking trips or advise on superb self-guided walks;

Art and sculpture and Roman History: Why not combine your stay at Villa La Pinede with some painting, sculpture or pottery classes at a nearby art-studio. The studio is a charity foundation and allows full use of all facilities on payment of just 50€ for annual membership. There is even a heated pool to allow relaxation and inspiration during your painting. The area is full of well-preserved Roman remains including amphitheatres at nearby Arles, Nimes and Orange with the ancient city of Glanum a few minutes drive away- the 3rd largest Roman site in the world.

La Pinede swimming pool and other sports nearby: The 14x5 metre solar-heated pool has a Californian beach entry, so no awkward steps or ladders to negotiate. There is an electric pool cover providing total security of the pool when not in use. We have an automatic salt system for purification, so no nasty chlorine irritated eyes! Pool temperature usually 25 deg C plus from April reaching 30 deg C+ until end of October. Maussane has its own golf-course 2 minutes drive from the villa with another ar Mouries just 10 minutes away. Plenty of cycling and walking routes in the Alpilles- soon to be made into a National park.
