'La Bastide' is on 3000m2 private areas, in calm situation, with a marvellous view of the Alpillen and in the proximity of the old city centre. It has 4 bedrooms with directly adjacent bathrooms (1 bath, 3 showers), two of it with double beds. The spacious living room (63m2) is equipped with fireplace, large satellite-TV, video recorder, DVD and hi-fi system. The very well furnished kitchen in a Provencal style (American refrigerator, furnace, microwave, glass ceramic plates, and dishwasher) leads to a 40m2 large, covered terrace; with grill. Room with washing machine. Garage for two cars. A wonderful swimming pool (10x5m), which is protected with safety fence. Garden furniture. Maintenance/cleaning: in the price included, once a week (for an extra charge also daily) bed linen and towels are changed once a week. Household laundry is supplied. The reception will be organized at your arrival. Maintenance of the swimming pool and the exterior installation is ensured.

The house is situated down the mountain range called ‘Alpilles’; 30 minutes south of the city of Avignon, and less than five minutes drive from the famous village of Saint-Rémy de Provence. St Remy has its own air of quiet chic, elegant shops and a number of restaurants, little squares with ancient fountains, shady cafes terraces.Within their surroundings, the Alpilles chain of mountains forms both a striking and a harmonious picture. This area is the ‘Provence of the Rhone’ and has a strong Roman heritage. It is also the landscape of famous painters such as Van Gogh, Cézanne and Matisse who came here to capture the extraordinary light and color of the region.It is also rich agricultural area with rolling plains of fruit orchards, olives groves and all variety of Mediterranean vegetables. It is alive with the sound of chirping 'cigales' and the intoxicating aromas of multitude of wild herbs... This area is the ‘Provence of the Rhone’ and has a strong Roman heritage.

Notes: Villa Indigo The villa has been designed in the style of a traditional Provencal bastide and is part of a private estate with three other houses, close to the old centre of Saint Rémy de Provence. The town is in the heart of the beautiful Alpilles hills, surrounded by the sights and scents of Provence and the pure light and colour, which has long attracted writers and artists of all kinds and as well as those who prefer a more relaxed pace of life. The villa is set privately in its own garden within the estate, which is surrounded by old olive groves, hedges and scented trees and plants. It has four bedrooms, one on the ground floor, two upstairs, each with private shower rooms and lovely views of the hills from the upstairs rooms. The two double and two twin rooms have been individually decorated in a Provencal style and the whole house is air-conditioned. The salon is comfortably firnished and has a fireplace, a large, satellite television screen, DVD and hi-fi.
