It’s very unusual to find a holiday home so close to the village centre with a large pool, that is surrounded by trees with a feeling of space.Conveniently located to walk into the world famous village of Les Eyzies, these pretty properties sit opposite dramatic limestone rock faces once home to Cromagnon man. Being just ¼ of a kilometre from the Font de Gaume caves (a UNESCO heritage site), the properties which CAN BE LET BOTH INDIVIDUALLY OR TOGETHER are situated at the heart of it all. La Maison Verte and La Maison à Côte have both been sympathetically renovated. Decorated to a high standard with wood and tiled floors, each property has been tastefully and indeed comfortably furnished and have all the necessary conveniences for modern living. The large 40ft x 20ft swimming pool and pretty grounds provide an ideal area for relaxation and to top up that tan. Friendly but unobtrusive owners live nearby. Located entirely on the ground floor sleeping up to 4 people. The spacious well equipped kitchen and dining area leads on to the comfortable open plan living room, which benefits from French doors opening onto your large private terrace with views to the limestone hillsides opposite. An ideal place to relax, barbeque and enjoy a meal with friends. The bedrooms one double and one twin both have wooden floors and charming decor. There is a large modern bathroom with a double sink and a separate toilet. The property has all creature comforts including satellite TV, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave etc.

The property was very clean and furnished to a high standard. The layout was great, and felt light and airy. The owners Karen and Rob were very helpful and happy to answer any questions about the area and easy to contact if required. The pool area was of a very high standard and kept clean. This is our second visit staying in Karen and Rob's properties, and we would recommend them to anyone wanting to enplore the surrounding area. Les Eyzies has a good selection of shops and restaurants. Our favourite outings were the Sunday Market at St. Cyprien, Chateau de Commanrque, Les Jardins Suspendus de Marqueyssac, Gouffre de Promeyssac and wandering around Salat and Domme.

The house matches the description on the homepage. Clean and tidy. E-mail contact fast and good. Very friendly hosts passing by to say hello and make sure, everything is all rigth. Book with information about the house, the village and with various tips and recommandations is good and informative. Nice pool in the garden, very well kept, cleaned also during the week. Village nice with nice atmosphere, restaurants in different categories, interesting museums. Les Ezyies a good base for excursions by car to many sights.
