We are situated in rolling farmland, 5km from the medieval village of Issigeac with restaurants, all facilities and a bustling Sunday market. We are ideally placed for visiting the beautiful towns of Bergerac, Sarlat, Lalinde, La Roque Gageac and Beynac (along the Dordogne river), the prehistoric caves at Eyzies, and the historic bastide towns to the south and east. The region is known as Purple Perigord because of the vineyards and the famous Monbazillac chateau is close by. The wine centre of St. Emilion is a wonderful town to visit and is the gateway to all the wine country to the west. Bordeaux and the seaside at Arcachon can be visited on a day trip.
The area is renowned for good local produce which includes foie gras, duck confit, asparagus and cepes. The fruit and vegetable markets are a treat. An added bonus of our location is that the airport of Bergerac (RyanAir / Flybe) is only 15min away on country roads so your holiday starts as soon as you leave the airport.
