Fantastic French gite

Le Peyrat is absolutely fabulous and faultless! We have been holidaying in France for just under 10 years and all the gites we have stayed in have had strengths and weaknesses, usually the weaknesses being the bedrooms and kitchens.
Tracy has all the bedrooms to a very high standard, and all are ensuite with extremely comfortable beds. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped, allowing you to get the most out of cooking the fine local produce, along side a large dining area and table is ideal for families and groups to eat together.
The grounds are large and ideal for children to play, with the pool area accessable through a locked gate for their safety. The pool area it self is beautifully secluded and a great suntrap.
The gite interior is quite stunning and very tastefully furnished, and is primarily open plan with an amazing square gallery with high beamed ceilings from which the upper bedrooms are accessed.
The gite is decorated every year and is spotlessly clean. It truly is a great place to holiday and both Tracy and Brian make you feel very welcome.
As for the area, the location is central for many towns and only 30mins from St Emillion. Tracy and Brian will advise on the best vine yards to visit, good restaurants and places of interest with Brontome a must see. It is truly beautiful. However, if you do canoe on the river in Brontome, there are three weirs to negotiate that may not be suitable for children although great fun for older children and adults.
We cannot do anything but praise this gite, it is overall the best we stayed in throughout the years we have been visiting France. We were there only a few days when we decided to book for next year to ensure we got the dates we wanted and can't wait to return.
