Badaillac is a peaceful hamlet, set amongst woodland, perfect for walking, canoeing, fishing, horse-riding and cycling.
'The Venice of the Perigord ', Brantome, is an 8 minute drive away. It is a small, Medieval island town, with an ancient Abbey built into a stunning rock-face, offering superb regional cuisine in its many charming restaurants and cafes. Jousting competitions make for a magnificent spectacle on the river during July and August. It is also possible for youngsters to 'fence' in the shade of the Abbey at this time of year.
Within half an hour's drive we have the regional towns of Perigueux and Angoulême, the Chateaux de Puyguilhem and Bourdeilles, the Caves at Vilars and many local market towns - it is possible to visit a different, authentic French market every day of the working week.
Within an hour's drive there are magnificent vineyards and beautiful villages to visit and enjoy.
Excellent Internet facilities are available locally.
