Wonderful holiday spent at the luxury barn!

We were a party of 11, 4 teenage girls, 2 ladies & a lad in their early 20's & 2 sets of parents. We stayed for one week and had a wonderful time. The 'barn' was beautifully finished, very
well equipped, spotlessly clean & exceeded our expectations. The main living area was an amazing, light room, open to the ceiling with original oak timbers exposed, we all ended
every evening there chatting playing games & generally having
a good time together. As one of our party was wheelchair bound
the open space was perfect, and there were only a few steps to
negotiate to get to bed or go outside. The bedroom areas were all very comfortable & in spite of all the girls there was enough bathrooms to find a free one in the morning. The swimming pool area was also perfect with a covered dining terrace overlooking the pool looking out onto the countryside, where we generally had our lunch. The pool was a good size, very clean and an early morning swim a must. There was plenty of grassed area
outside, for breakfast, barbecue and makeshift soccer game.
Our hosts were very friendly and helpful & though they lived
across the courtyard we never really knew they were there. We ran out of cooking gas one evening making tea & one of our hosts was immediately on hand to switch on a new cylinder. The immediate area was typical beautiful French countryside, but Brantome just 10 minutes away was a charming bustling small town surrounded by the river, with many restaurants & shops. Canoeing around the town is a must. Farther afield we visited Perigeux, but generally we were all happy to relax around the pool or go for walks.
I think we would all highly recommend 'the barn' to anyone.
