Set on a hilltop with wonderful views La Roche Chabrelle has 3 gîtes in converted barns near the large heated swimming pool (12mx6m) and 1 secluded gîte in the original farmhouse with its own private garden. You can explore the 5 acres (2 ha) of terraced gardens, woods and caves or just relax and admire the beautiful views. This is a paradise for children and parents alike with plenty to do on site and many places to visit in the area. Onsite is badminton, table tennis and TV. La Roche Chabrelle equally suits couples out of High Season who can enjoy the heated pool, the local fauna and flora (including many native orchids on site) and benefit from our attractive pricing policy. The gîtes typically are very well equipped with fitted kitchen including cooker, fridge, dishwasher and microwave. Each gîte has beautiful large beamed sitting/dining rooms. Bed linen a sports kit and a generous welcome pack are provided. Free Internet access is available via our wireless network.

La Roche Chabrelle is located near the lovely town of Brantôme known locally as 'the Venice of Périgord'. Long hot summers last from May until September. Just enough rain keeps the landscape deliciously fresh and green. It is, after all, called the Périgord Vert, and even when there is a dry summer it does not turn the landscape brown or glaring white (as it can so often be only a short way south). Winters here are delightful, with frosty dry weather, sunny days and very little snow. When it rains it is usually very wet, but mild. Spring and autumn are distinct seasons, reliably unreliable. The colourful local farmers’ markets keep pace with the seasons so you know where you are in the year. In the area: canoeing, river beaches, fishing, mountain biking, golf, walking and riding. Brantôme ‘Venice of Périgord’ is 10 minutes away, Périgueux is 20 minutes, nearest restaurants and shops under 10 minutes away. Further afield Lascaux (cave paintings) and other prehistory sites.

Family Holidays

During the main season we are geared up to coping with groups of families that can enjoy the facilities on site and the parents can relax whilst the children can enjoy themselves in the extensive cave with Table Tennis, Table Football and TV/Video/DVD player.

Couples

We have many couples visit us for the out of season periods. They enjoy very good rates, heated swimming pool and many activities in the area.

Just what was needed, peace and quiet. Perfect for the children – felt safe & secure. Lots of lovely places to visit. I feel well rested – Thank you.

We have both enjoyed another wonderful holiday in one of our favourite places. The pool and grounds instantly struck us. The flowers in particular add to the beauty of the property. We appreciate the warm and friendly atmosphere. À bientôt!
