Welcome to ' Le Pouget' a relaxing cottage style bungalow for all ages , surrounded by farmland and wildlife. Situated in a large enclosed garden, with stone BBQ, play area, Bikes, table tennis,badminton and plenty of outside games. We have a covered terrace and decking area where you can relax and unwind with a glass of wine and enjoy a meal 'Al Fresco'! or take a dip to cool off in our 4 meter timber plunge pool, large enough for adults to relax and fun for children to play in. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped, we even supply the corkscrew!!!!! In our lounge area we have a TV, DVD and CD player and a selection of DVD's and CD's, books and games for Adults and Children. The bungalow is tiled throughout to keep it cool in the hot summer months & has a wood burning log fire to keep you cozy in the cooler months. The Bedrooms are light and airy, 1 Double bedroom and the other with 2 single beds. We have fans for your comfort in hot weather and central heating for cooler days.

Le Pouget,is situated at the edge of Calviac en Perigord only a few minutes drive from the amazing medieval town of SARLAT & is perfect for relaxing & sightseeing. Wander the Bastide of Domme. Take a boat or canoe on the Dordogne river (with a picnic). Step back in time & visit the medieval villages of Beynac & Roque Gageac, the chateaux of Castelnaud, Fenelon and many more,step even further back to pre historia & see Les Eyzies & Lascaux 2 the amazing cave dwellings & paintings .For the energetic: as well as canoes there is cycling,horse riding out door adventure parks, even Ballooning!! For shopping there is Sarlat with its cobbled streets on Saturdays a fantastic market,with restaurants galore,local wine and Cheeses, Foie Gras & walnuts,with all this you may need a walk & there is plenty of walking routes, even one right outside our bungalow!! Visit Rocamadour the trail of the pilgrims,with animal parks,caves,& beautiful views! THE DORDOGNE GIVES YOU A CAMERA SHOT AT EVERY TURN !

| Notes: | Our bungalow is set inside approx 2000 sq m of enclosed garden & is perfect for families with young children, who don't want them wandering off!!! Our pool is over ground & the steps are re-movable for safety. For children we have swings, a play house, paddling pool, pool toys, & they can scream and shout as much as they want only the sheep can hear!!! And of course for the 'Older Children'!- Badminton, Boules, Outdoor table tennis & Bikes. 2 minutes from the bungalow you can swing through the trees at the 'Indian Forest' & Squirrel Park!!! Great fun for all ages!! Just opened is a new Zoo reserve, 2 mins away If you fancy a day out at the beach, the inland beaches of Grolejac and Tamnies are not far away, you can bring a picnic, & relax on the sandy shores, while the children can play in the shallow/warm safe lake waters, both of these beaches offer: toilet facilities, snack bar, children play area, some include rental of inflatables and a life guard in the high season. |

Our aim is to ensure that you have the holiday of your choice, whether it's family fun, away from it all relaxation or both , we will do our best to help you achieve that. We can get some groceries in for you on arrival and any baby or toddler items you may need! Le Pouget is totally independent, no sharing of facilities with other guests and we do not live on site, so the house, garden,pool etc is all yours for the duration of your stay. We will be there to meet you on arrival and to help you settle in and answer any questions you may have, we will then leave you with the keys and the magical ambiance of Le Pouget! We are only 15 minutes and a phone call away and on hand 24/7. So come and stay at Le Pouget and experience our 'little bit' of Heaven. As the residents of Perigord come out of Hibernation, the activity begins, with spring flowers & sowing of seeds, Staying at Le pouget over Easter & spring break gives you & your family a chance to re-charge your batteries ready for the Summer ahead - whether, your family is facing the dreaded summer school exams, or you just need that break after a Cold/ Wet/ miserable winter... either way the Perigord Noir will help you to unwind. EASTER.. The gardens at Marqyessac are transformed into & exciting Easter egg Hunt, while the kids hunt for the eggs & have fun at the playground & tree house in the beautiful gardens, you can take in the scenery & the stunning views, & later while you relax with that well earned drink the kids can happily paint there own Easter eggs inside the chateaux. All in a days fun !!!
CHRISTMAS IN SARLAT
Spend Christmas in 'Le Pouget' ...... Away from the hustle & Bustle SARLAT turns into a CHRISTMAS WONDERLAND- with Christmas Markets, out door ice-skating, Pere Noel, Christmas pony rides, Christmas restaurants! Carol evenings in the Cathedral. Our Bungalow is decorated for you with a Christmas tree and decorations, Christmas cd's, Christmas tableware a selection of wines, cheeses and chocolates. And an Oak burning log fire, ---- which is a must have for Pere Noel!!
Other Activities Canoeing, skateboard park, paintball, Adventure parks,hot air ballooning.

We had a fabulous 2 week break at Le Pouget and cannot fault it in anyway. Every little detail was taken care of and if we had found something Barry and Paula would have only been too happy to sort it out for us. The area is beautiful and we made the most of it, visiting somewhere different everyday, so much to do - so little time!! We will definetly be back and this time relax a little more in the wonderful, peaceful garden that our 3 kids loved. They were in the pool everyday and particulary enjoyed the table tennis and swings. Big thanks to Barry, Paula and Reece!
