Attractions in the area.

In this area good restaurants are everywhere and not expensive. The river Dronne is on 4 kilometre distance. Here you can swim and canoe in the middle of nature. Canoes are for rent in Tocane St. Apre, Riberac and Lisle. There is a beautiful lake (Lac Jemaye) 15 km away, which is espacially suited for little children. Walking and horse-riding is a real pleasure in this unspoiled area. This is the region of castles, roman churches and beautiful villages like Brantome; Bergerac and Perigueux. Lovely markets on Monday; Thursday and Friday. Nearest villages are 5 kilometres away, so a car is necessary.

Travel to the area.

Bordeaux (150 km) is the closest international airport from where goes a train to Perigueux. Here are taxis and rental cars available. In Perigueux (30 km) you will find the nearest national airport. In Angouleme (65 km) a TGV-trainstation is located.

'We loved being in your house and thought it to be very beautiful. The stone work, the quality of light, the sense of space, and the attention to detail were all lovely. I especially loved the views out the kitchen window at sunset, and the view from the main bedroom - but lots of lovely other touches: the beautiful big floor boards, the table under the trees outside, the staircase and light and windows upstairs and...many other things.
