Les Florettes is a delightful 1773 stone house situated on the outskirts of a peaceful village. Located in the heart of the Perigord Noir, described as 'that most sumptuous area of the Dordogne', all of the famous attractions are on your doorstep. The medieval villages of Sarlat, Beynac, Les Eyzies, Limeul, Beynac, Domme, St Cyprien are all just a short distance away. The property is elevated and south-facing, providing picturesque views over the Dordogne valley. You will not be sharing the house, pool or grounds with anybody else. Central heating and a working open fireplace means the house remains cosy all year round. Ideal for autumn and winter breaks. The accommodation consists of a spacious, lounge/dining area with original beamed ceiling and ornate stone fireplace. Satellite English language TV, CD & DVD player. The kitchen has a fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine. ADSL high speed internet connection (bring your laptop) Free phone calls.

A leisurely 10 minute stroll takes you to the village centre to the boulangerie for your daily baguettes and other basic supplies. The friendly English speaking owners of the local wine shop will advise and supply you all your wine needs. A bar-tabac, Post Office, and Hotel-bar are also in the village. Select local fresh produce to prepare your feasts at one of local markets of Siorac (3km) on Wednesday, Belves (6km) on Saturday or St Cyprien (5km) on Sunday. The Perigord is famous for its cuisine and there are plenty of restaurants close by that serve both regional dishes and international cuisine at reasonable prices complemented by fine regional wines. Beynac village (10 mins), with its narrow cobble streets that lead up to the formidable 11th C Chateau Beynac. Domme (20 mins) a remarkable medieval bastide, perched on the edge of a cliff with its panoramic views A visit to Sarlat is a must. Considered to be one of the finest restored medieval market towns in Europe

Wonderful property in amazing surroundings.

Les Florettes is a wonderful property with a good size garden and pool. The kitchen is well equiped and the rooms are all of a good size, although the badroom is a bit small but has everything you need. The only downsite, which might be a problem with small children and the elderly, is the flight of stairs. The bannister does not start at the top.
The directions to the property were good and the house was clean and so was the pool
It was possible to walk every morning to the baker for fresh croussants. We did not visit the local restaurant, because we enjoyed sitting in the garden for our meals.
We spent a lot of time visiting the surrounding villages, which were amazing and all had markets. There were many other attractions very near by. The furtherst we had to travel was thirty minutes by car.
I would recommend this property to a friend.
