La Forestine is situated 3.5km NW of the town of Bergerac in the community of Rouzade Est.
The House ('Vin Doux') and the three Gites ('Rose, Rouge and Blanc') are all furnished and equipped to a high standard, all have dishwashers, ironing boards, fridge freezers, fan ovens, full electric hobs and all come with UK and French Satellite TV, DVD players and CD Players.
Each Gite has its own sitting area with picnic bench and charcoal BBQ.
Rouzade Est is a beautiful valley and you have the advantage of being in the countryside without being isolated, Bergerac Airport is a 20 minute drive and supermarkets and the shops of Bergerac are all within 10 minutes.
You can walk in to Bergerac if you are feeling energetic and if you don't want to drive in the evening its easy to take a taxi out to the restaurants.
Bergerac is a beautifully preserved 14th to 16th Century trading town situated on the Dordogne and has lovely restaurants, pavement cafes and regular markets - its how you imagine France to be!
Within an hour of La Forestine we have water parks, Go-karting, Activity Parks, Canoeing on the Dordogne, Cycle hire, Horse riding and great attractions such as Chateaux, Ornamental Gardens and pre-historic caves.
In our own grounds we have an 8mt x 4mt swimming pool and a large marquee with table tennis and a slate bed pool table.
La Forestine is both a base and a destination , every year during the school summer holidays we see children making friends and having fun in the large gardens which leaves the adults time to relax too.
For couples, families and large groups La Forestine is a great holiday with a really informal, relaxed and friendly feel to it.
