Maison Natalie-beautiful tranquility.

Review Submitted: January 13, 2008 Date of Stay: August 2007
It is always difficult to write a review about accommodation as everybody has their own idea as to what is important to them. At Maison Natilie there is no such problem as the serenity of the surroundings and local village atmosphere make you content and at ease immediatly. The cottage itself is wonderfull,a well equiped kitchen greets you upon entry and then into the lounge area where you also pass the bathroom. Now this may not be to everybodys taste, but my daughter and myself found no problem with a ground floor bathroom.Again suitably equiped and a lovely view onto the garden.
Upstairs are two good size bedrooms with another lounge area with TV etc.
Outside is a lovely garden which is great for sitting in and having your meals or just chilling.
One bonus which may be undstated is the use of a lockable garage for keeping the car out of the sun(no need for security as the village was very welcoming)and also repairing the bikes etc.It also made loading and unloading the car very easy.
The local area has lots to see and restaurants, bars etc.We did a lots of cycling, again a great area for this.
Well thats about it. To sum up-if you want a peacefull, beautifull setting in a local community(the midnight fayres are fantastic!)and away for the madding crowd then Maison Natilie is calling you.

Enjoying the good life in France

Sally & Pete Oxfordshire
Review Submitted: August 17, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
We've had a great holiday staying at Maison Natalie and the cottage and village were everything we'd hoped for. The cottage was spacious, comfortable and well equiped with everything we needed to enjoy our stay while the garden was large and private and was perfect to enjoy the sun or to sit reading in the shade. Some days we were happy the stay 'at home' and only ventured as far as the village shop to buy fresh bread. Many warm evenings were spent in the garden enjoying a BBQ, a bottle of wine and chatting long after it got dark.
A highlight of our stay was an evening when chairs and tables were erected in the village square, various vans appeared and we enjoyed a 3 course meal, bread, wine and disco and were made to feel very welcome by the locals.
We enjoyed visits to Bergerac, Sarlat and Brantome and explored many pretty villages and places of interest along the Dordogne and Vezere. We went walking from the village, canoeing on the Vezere and the area also looks great for cycling. The only downside was our fortnight came to an end and we had to leave!!

Exquisite escape to rural France !

Review Submitted: June 1, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
Myself and girlfriend stayed here for 4 nights in May for a birthday and couldn't have been happier. Its rural France at its best, feels like the middle of nowhere yet is a great location for visiting all the nearby Dordogne towns and attractions. Hope to stay here again soon as it was simply wonderful. The garden is fantastic and private and gets the sun all day and late on in the evening. The local shop is surprisingly well stocked and more importantly has fresh bread, croissants and pain au chocolate in the morning and we were made to feel very very welcome. Cant recommend this place enough for a relaxing rural retreat to France. There was only the 2 of us but its easily big enough for 4 with 2 bedrooms and 2 lounges, we used the log burning fire even though we didnt really need to, it was lovely ! Thanks for a great stay, we hope to return shortly for another relaxing break. Excellent !

Wonderful cottage and holiday

Review Submitted: July 22, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2008
This cottage was charming and in a beautiful quiet village which was most welcoming. It was a great base to explore the Dordogne from and a great place to stay, and we thoroughly enjoyed quiet and sunny afternoons in the garden. It helped make our holiday a very successful one.
