Charming house in fabulous setting

A stunning house in a beautiful setting. It was so wonderful to have so much outside space (lots of opportunities for french cricket and boules!). We found the house very well set up, with so many added touches (the bottle of wine on arrival, the numerous board games and DVDs) which helped to make our stay so enjoyable. Mervyn and Barbara couldn't have been more helpful, and it was good to know that there was someone on hand to help if we had any problems during our stay. On our one rainy day we drove into Jumilhac and had lunch in a little restaurant near the Chateau. The Chateau itself is typically French and we really loved the guided tour. Our visit from Monsieur Louis was very welcome, and provided much amusement to those of us who had to dredge up our GCSE french!
Thank you for a wonderful week!

Owner's Response: Elizabeth, I'm delighted you and your friends had such a great time at the cottage. We try very hard to ensure all our guests have as good a time as possible and get the well deserved break they need.
As you have highlighted the cottage is in a stunning setting and with the large garden and private pool it is a lovely area to relax and unwind.
We are very fortunate to have such lovely neighbours, including Louis, who will have been delighted that you tried your french on him.
Glad you enjoyed your meal in Jumilhac and the tour of the fantastic chateau and thanks for your kind comments about the added touches. We strive to keep improving our service to guests and appreciate when this is recognised.
Hope we will see you again soon.
Nigel
