Planning a Dordogne Vacation we have a lovely self-catering holiday cottage situated on a mini estate in a secluded, elevated position with panoramic views of the picturesque, undulating Périgord Vert countryside. The perfect place for a lovely family holiday. A tranquil and rural setting with a child friendly garden area leading immediately from the front and rear doors of the cottage. Bring your dog as well. Uniquely we are able to offer guests the use of probably one of the largest private 'swimming pools' in the Dordogne. A totally pollution and chemical free private swimming and fishing lake. The lake nestles in a sheltered location, just a short stroll from the cottage across our land, and has a swimming pier and shaded areas for comfort on hot days. A boat to laze around in. Notes to the rental rates

• The cottage sleeps in total 4 adults & 4 children. We adjust the weekly rental rates according to the number of people, making it very economic for smaller groups and couples with a child wishing to get a break in the peak periods. The rates shown are for 2/3 people in the respective time periods. For full details of our rental rates for larger groups please e-mail or telephone us for clarification.. The cottage is available for longer term rental from early autumn, around October through to April of the following year. We are flexible around the time period particularly if guests are waiting for property purchase legalities to be finalised. For longer term renting the rental rates are negotiable. We offer the longer term rental period for two adults only. Well behaved cats and dogs are also welcome. Planning on relocating to France, our cottage is ideally located with good, easy access to the main national route 21. If you prefer to pay in euros please contact us for our euro rates.
  
• Ryanair (the low fares airline) operates a daily service to Limoges from London Stansted and three times a week from Liverpool and East Midlands. Flybe operate flights three times a week from Southampton. Limoges airport is just 40 minute's away from us. Private parties for special get-together's; small functions, business groups can be accommodated and catered for incorporating additional accommodation at owner's house nearby. • The rental rates include bed linen, water, gas, electricity and wood. Sets of towels can be hired if required. We ask for a 25% deposit when making a booking with the balance payable 8 weeks prior to the commencement of the holiday. A fully refundable security deposit of £100 is required at the time of making final payment. The cottage is available for long term let in the early spring and autumn. Special arrangements apply. Comfortable Accommodation

The property has been restored to the highest standard, retaining the original features and using old materials wherever possible. Oak-beamed throughout with a stone fireplace, farmhouse doors, picture lights, ceiling fan and wood-burning stove in the kitchen/living area. All bedrooms are wood-panelled with picture lights and ceiling fans. Each room has been tastefully decorated and furnished with an eye for detail, comfort and practicality.

Facilities

The appeal of the property is in its idyllic setting with the unique feature of having its own private lake - a totally natural environment. The lake is over 2 acres in size and a short stroll from the cottage. Lovely for swimming in during the summer months, the water fresh running. For keen fishermen it is also well-stocked with roach, rudd, tench, perch and carp. Swim and fish from the piers, or use the rowing boat. A location to suit all tastes. Ideal for the perfect family holiday; very safe for children, for adults, a place to relax and unwind in a rejuvenating environment. Walk, cycle, or ride a horse on quiet country roads.

Convenient Location

Although a wonderfully quiet, country location, the village is just 2.5km from the main N21 (Route Nationale) at La Coquille. Making it such a convenient base from which to go sightseeing, property hunting or wine tasting. A perfect spring-board for the regions of the Dordogne and Limousin. There are golf courses open to the public at Limoges and Périgueux. If not all your party can be accommodated in the cottage then we can offer bed and breakfast at our house, which is 300 meters up the road from the cottage, with three double bedrooms each with private bathrooms. We welcome groups and can offer the facility of an optional evening meal. Being in the heart of the Regional Natural Park of the Perigord-Limousin there are numerous well-marked country walks, bridal paths and cycle tracks. Riding stables are nearby and cycle hire. An ideal location for touring groups and we're happy to quote for a group rate.
