The properties.:
The properties are fully equipped for the maximum number of people. There is a wide range of books in each house, as well as board games and jigsaw puzzles etc. A TV and DVD player are available as well as a Sony Playstation computer game console. DVD's and computer games are available to loan, or you may wish to bring your favourites with you. Internet access is available. All bed linen is provided. All beds have duvets (both summer and winter). Hand, bath and pool towels are provided as well as tea towels. A change of linen is available after one week.
The maximum occupancy numbers are strictly adhered to. Babies are counted as full occupants.
The properties are not suitable for people looking for somewhere for 'partying'.
We are here to help.:
John and Lesley, the English owners, are available to help you, be it for help with restaurant bookings, suggestions for days out or a bit of translation for any language difficulties. We are around for garden maintenance, pool cleaning and general repairs etc. and are always delighted to have a chat or even share a glass, or two, of wine! Or if you prefer to be left alone that’s no problem either!
Around & about.:
La Petite Renaudie is a hamlet of nine houses spread out along about a half mile of country lane. The single track lane leading to the hamlet is a no-through lane, thus there is almost no passing traffic. The surrounding countryside is generally hilly, with a mix of woodland and pasture, with plenty of superb views over the valley. The nearest village shop is in Villetoureix, and nearest supermarkets are to be found in Riberac, together with banks, shops, cafes and restaurants. In the surrounding area there are plenty of restaurants to choose from. The tourist attractions of the Dordogne are within easy reach for days out, such as prehistoric caves, castles, chateaux etc. Also within reach are the vineyards of the Bordeaux area, and the beaches of the west coast. There are plenty of lakes and rivers nearby for swimming, canoeing, water-sports, fishing and many opportunities for other sports and activities such as golf, tennis, cycling, walking, horse-riding, picnics etc.
