The gites are superbly positioned just 15Km from the main A20 Paris/Toulouse motorway and has easy access to various airports serviced by Ryanair, Easyjet, Flybe, BA, Air France and KLM. Exploring is easy, it's only 12 kilometres from medieval Sarlat and less than a half hours drive from other medieval towns and Chateaux such as Rocamadour, Domme, Beynac, Castelnaud and Roque Gagiac. There are many prehistoric sites and caves too, such as Lascaux and Les Eyzies also close by. The local villages of Carlux and St Julien, both have bars, restaurants, shops and post offices only a 5 minute drive away, St Julien having a bank with cash point. There are weekly markets in July and August in Calviac itself, or throughout the year in Sarlat and St Julien. You can cycle with safety on a flat tarmaced dedicated cycle path for 25Km on the old disused railway track between Sarlat and Souillac, bicycles can be hired locally. Tennis and 2 golf courses plus other sports are available nearby.
