In the heart of the Dordogne, on the edge of the world famous village of Les Eyzies and in a beautiful riverside setting, these charming houses have been lovingly restored preserving the character with the use of oak beams, sandstone walls, wood and tiled floors. The houses have their own separate terraces with barbecues and garden furniture. A pretty river runs through the estate and helps make the extensive grounds at Le Banquet an ideal place for relaxation. The large swimming pool is positioned to gain maximum hours of sunshine with ample shade provided by walnut, apple and pear trees. All are well-catered for with a children’s splash pool and play area with swings, slide and badmington. The games and information room houses table tennis, table football, pool, darts etc. Babysitting service (Monday to Thursday evenings) offered on a 'first come first served' basis. Friendly but unintrusive owners live on site.

La Fermette: sleeps 6 in comfort. A pretty Perigordine stone built cottage. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable and consists of fully fitted kitchen/dining room , ground floor WC, sitting room with stone fireplace opening on to a walled riverside terrace with a vine clad loggia. The large oak-beamed master bedroom with king size bed and en-suite bathroom is on the 2nd floor, whilst the 2 twin bedrooms on the first floor share a bathroom. One twin bedroom has beautiful views overlooking the river. A tranquil riverside setting in which to relax. The area surrounding Le banquet is dominated by pre-history, beautiful architecture and gastronomy. The local markets are full to brimming with some of the best produce France has to offer. Whether you wish to visit the local caves with their drawings dating back 20,000 years, picnic by the banks of the Vezere River, taste the excellent wines from Bergerac and surround or canoe, horse ride and perhaps fish, Le Banquet is at the very heart of it all. If you are a food lover, then welcome to gastronomic heaven! Foie Gras, cepes, truffles and excellent restaurants - the region has it all.
