In the heart of the Dordogne, on the edge of the world famous village of Les Eyzies and in a beautiful riverside setting, these charming houses have been lovingly restored preserving the character with the use of oak beams, sandstone walls, wood and tiled floors. The well equipped homes each have all modern comforts including satellite TV together with their own separate terrace complete with BBQ and garden furniture. A pretty river runs through the estate and helps make the extensive grounds at Le Banquet an ideal place for relaxation. The large swimming pool is positioned to gain maximum hours of sunshine with ample shade provided by walnut, apple and pear trees. All are well catered for with a toddler’s splash pool and play area with swings and slide. Le Tournesol, sympathetically restored by local artisans this pretty gite sits 'tucked away' just below a courtyard. Located on one level there is a well equipped kitchen together with an open plan living and dining room. The two bedrooms, one double and one twin have views to the river that runs through the estate. There is also a fully tiled modern shower room. The property has been restored using local stone and beams. Outside is a private walled terrace with barbecue and garden furniture. The best holiday we have ever had! The gite was lovely, immaculate and very comfortable, and the owners (Rob and Karen) were friendly, welcoming and very helpful. The whole of Le Banquet though is simply beautiful! Peaceful, relaxing, stunning gardens, fantastic pool, great games barn .... just perfect! There's loads to do in the area - great days out, plenty of restaurants to choose from, gorgeous countryside ... didn't want to come home!!!

The setting of these cottages is tranquil and picturesque.
Ideal for family groups as accomodation can be booked side by side maintaining privacy if desired but allows easy interaction. Clean and comfortable with every convenience. Great markets in nearby villages and close to Sarlat which is wonderful. Drive to Dome a beautiful hillside village with breathtaking views of the Dordone valley. Hosts are English so that is a great asset for non French speaking guests.
