Outside:
The front of the house has a south facing gated terrace equipped with table and chairs. The barn and garages are attached to the house with the driveway in front of the barn. The land stretches out from the barn up onto the hill behind the barn and house. To the rear of the barn and house is the 110 sqm terrace with access from driveway (outside) and from the utility room and master bedroom (inside). Next to the terrace is the pigeonnier and above ground 15ft swimming pool, the terrace has electric lights, BBQ and is fully equipped with patio table and chairs, sun loungers and parasols for relaxing summer days/evenings. The house is situated on a road that enters a small village. The garden has walnut trees and fig trees.
Region:
The region is full of small villages and towns to explore, especially on market days. There is an abundance of great restaurants specialising in the local produce Foie gras, ceps etc and of course there are plenty of Château’s and wine caves. Trains run from Lalinde to Sarlat, the journey takes 40 minutes and meanders across the river Dordogne some 5 times. There is the opportunity of river trips from various points along the Dordogne from 1 to 6 hours in duration. There is also canoeing, tennis and swimming near by. Lalinde has a market twice weekly and several supermarkets, the largest being 3 km from the house. There are banks and many good restaurants and bars, a lovely market square to sit and relax enjoying a glass of wine.
Booking Notes:
To reserve the accommodation the client should complete a booking form enclosing a 250GBP deposit. The deposit will not be refunded in the event of a cancellation being made within 2 months, prior to the date of arrival, unless the accommodation can be re-let. Full payment must be received two months prior to the date of arrival along with a separate cheque of GBP 350 to be held as breakages and damage deposit.
