Comfortable and stylish farmhouse in the Dordogne near beautiful Brantome

Le Brouillac is a beautifully restored farmhouse set in a peaceful hamlet in the north of the Dordogne, near the charming town of Brantome, known as the 'Venice of the Perigord''. It is the ideal spot for a relaxing holiday for a group of friends or for an extended family gathering. The two hundred year old house is very comfortable and has retained many original features such as oak beams and stone fireplaces, but the recent restoration has added all the modern comforts you need to make your stay 'a home from home'. There is a private swimming pool, set in a sunny courtyard and the enclosed garden is planted with flowering shrubs, fruit trees and a herb garden. There is a shaded pergola with a BBQ area and plenty of outdoor furniture for meals 'al fresco'

Le Brouillac is set in the lovely countryside of the Perigord Vert, in the north of the Dordogne. Nearby Brantome, with its famous abbey, beautiful river and its lively market and shops is about ten minutes away by car. Perigueux, the capital of the Dordogne has much to interest the tourist with its Roman and Renaissance past. The Brantome region is known for its excellent cuisine and fine wines with eating places to suit all tastes and budgets. The Dordogne area is perfect for those who want a relaxing and stress-free holiday enjoying the peace and quiet of the lovely countryside but there is still plenty to do for children and the more energetic. Canoeing down the river is always very popular and, with little traffic, the area is great for cycling. The airports at Limoges, Bergerac and Bordeaux are all just over an hour away and Angouleme the TGV train station is about forty minutes away.

Lounge with oak beams and a stone fireplace, large fully fitted kitchen/dining room, separate utility room and downstairs WC. An open tread wooden staircase leads to the upper floor with three bedrooms; one with an ensuite shower room and two twin bedded rooms sharing a third shower room. The fourth bedroom with large ensuite bathroom is accessed from the terrace and overlooks the pool (6.5m x 4.5m). Adjacent to that is a room with a single bed and a cot. The house has gas central heating throughout. Outdoor furniture, BBQ, exterior lighting, including underwater pool lighting are provided so you can enjoy al fresco meals by the pool or in the garden. Everything has been done to make this property as comfortable and relaxing as possible and many guests return year after year. The owners live in the same village and are on hand to help with any unforeseen problems, but live far enough away to ensure total privacy.
