Le Mas Jaubert is a converted farmhouse built in a traditional Perigordian style close to the village of La Jemaye, 30 miles north west of Bergerac, 11 miles south of Riberac in the Dordonge region. It is close to the Lac de la Jemaye, is ideal for a family holiday and is a perfect base for exploring the wonderful local countryside, forests and lakes and the delights of the Dordogne region. The farmhouse has a beautiful secluded garden (approx 70m x 100m) - plenty of lawn space & shady trees surrounded by the woodlands of the Double Forest. The lovely private pool is 10m x 5m yet just 85cm deep at the shallow end so children from approx 4 years old are comfortably in their depth; it also has a safety alarm. There's a pool house with fully-equipped summer kitchen, table & chairs, shower & WC; sun loungers and a purpose-built barbecue. The nearby lake has been set up as a water sports centre with a beach and facilities for fishing, windsurfing, swimming etc.

The area surrounding Le Mas Jaubert is rich in cultural treasures: museums, castles, roman churches, convents, mediaeval fortresses and cosy villages. The Village of Le Jemaye is near to the town of Riberac in an area of natural rural beauty on the north edge of the Dordogne region. The nearest baker and shop is at Echourgnac 2.5 miles away, and the market town of Riberac (20 minutes) has all the facilities you will need - restaurants, bars, banks, supermarkets, weekly outdoor market etc. There are Facilities for fishing, windsurfing etc. on the Lake at Jemaye a few minutes drive away. Canoeing on the river Dronne is within 15 minutes and Golf less that 30 minutes. The local landscape is dotted with pretty villages surrounded by vineyards, cornfields and, in July to September, fields of sunflowers. The beautiful town of Perigueux, capital of the Dordogne, is just a half hour drive and Bergerac, with its airport, markets and charming old town is less than an hour away.
