The spacious property is set in 10 acres with large secluded pool and terrace with poolside loungers. Caters for wheelchair user in downstairs bedroom. Internally full of character with exposed stonework, large banquetting table near open fire in Gite Colombiere, which has separate bathroom with small washing machine. The gite is very well equipped with outside eating areas and barbecue. Lovely gardens for relaxation. For the active football area also play-barn with pool table/table tennis. Bike hire available on premises. TV with video in both gites, large selection of videos available. Cot available in the gite. Plenty of off road parking to rear.

The gite is full of character, comfortable, clean and very well equipped. The stone vestibule greets you and leads to the very large dining/sitting room. There is an open fire adjacent the banquetting size table, suitable for any special occasion and the seating area overlooks the front gardens. There is a downstairs family bedroom, suitable for the disabled with a walk in wet room and toilet. There is large kitchen overlooking the rear of the property equipped for catering for large parties. Leading from the kitchen Gite Colombiere has it's own private patio area with canopy for the very hot days, this is also the situation of the barbecue. At the rear of this gite is a large lawned area with swing, sandpit and a football area. Also access to the pool is gained from the rear. Additionally there is a play-barn incorporating pool table. table tennis, football table and games consoles.

This beautiful rural area of the Dordogne is predominantly a wine growing region and has wide expanses of open countryside between the neighbouring working farms. In the summer we are surrounded either by vines or sunflowers giving a typical French ambiance. If you crave an active holiday there is a wealth of history, culture and culinary delights for every taste. Exploring the old, quaint, interesting Bastide towns is just one way to discover the area, and as we are right on the Vin Route, wine tasting at the numerous chateaux is always an alternative. For the even more active we are 10 minutes from the renowned Chateau de Vigiers, which has an exceptional 18-hole golf course. There are 3 other golf courses within 30 minutes.

The Surrounding Area: In this part of the Dordogne we are surrounded by lots of history, lots of beautiful countryside and there is as much or a little to do as one wants. There are many Bastide towns, all of which hold a special charm of their own. The food offered is from a simple salad, omelette or snack through to the full blown French cuisine at it's best. The restaurants are in abundance with each village having it's own eating house. The numerous chateaux are of interest of most holiday makers with the majority offering free wine tasting at any time.

For any guests interested in golf we have an excellent 18 hole golf course some 15 minutes away at the beautiful old Chateau Les Vigiers. Additionally two other golf courses are not too far away. For those with children, Bergerac (only 15 mins away) has a delightful bowling alley where drinks and snacks are on hand. Next to the alley there is a crazy golf course and behind that an Aqua Park to while away the very hot summer days.

Mums can escape for a couple of hours as two minutes away from the aforementioned activities is the main huge supermarket (L'Eclerc) which is a bit different from the UK supermarkets. Visiting their fish, cheese and fruit and vegetable sections is well worth the effort. L'Eclerc is surrounded by smaller shops, all worth a browse. Bergerac centre is certainly not to be missed with plenty of restaurants, street entertainers and for those wishing more retail therapy, is a must.
