An enticing example of a traditional stone built, historic, medieval village house - now renovated throughout to provide a stylish and comfortable home from home, all presented and equipped to a very high standard, laid out over two floors. Quietly situated, with absolutely no passing traffic - but with easy parking within a short stroll on a nearby Square (adjoining which you will also find two excellent local restaurants). Also within walking distance are bars, cafes, restaurants, a baker, canoeing, river swimming and fishing. The house is very comfortably furnished and equipped, with satellite TV (in both the sitting room and the bedroom). French doors open directly from the Bedroom onto a south facing, private decked terrace, equipped with sun-loungers, tables and a large sun umbrella. Bliss! The garden is also a well-sheltered sun-trap - attractively paved, with flower borders, terracotta containers, and garden furniture.

The village of Limeuil is officially listed as 'Un des Plus Beaux Villages de France' - one of the most beautiful villages of France - a stone-built medieval fortified village clinging to the hillside which rises up from the spectacular confluence of the rivers Dordogne and Vezere. Still known as the 'Port', this great expanse of water presents one of the loveliest settings in the whole of the incredible Dordogne valley region. The village is ideally placed for easy access to all the historic attractions - including the prehistoric caves, medieval chateaux, the renaissance city of Sarlat, the bustling centres of Bergerac and Perigueux - and the golden-stoned villages and farms whose produce is sold at the numerous markets that are such a feature of this region.

Restaurants: There are two excellent restaurants within a short stroll of the house, and further restaurants and a bar at the bottom of the village, alongside the river Dordogne. Here you will also find a boulangerie (baker), gift shop, glass blower and other artisans.

Rental Management: The locally resident English advertiser is managing the holiday renting of this property on behalf of the French owners. We will be pleased to supply route information from Bergerac airport or any other location - and assistance with any query regarding your holiday in Dordogne (including golf courses, horse riding, canoeing, country walking etc.).

A lovely small house in a picturesque village. Comfortable and spacious - just right for two. A well fitted kitchen . The garden space was generous and clean. Also a secluded patio off the downstairs bedroom - we particularly liked the adjustable bed - very comfortable. Limeuil itself is a lovely village with the owners restaurant minutes away.Many other eating places within easy driving distance,lots of recommendations in the information pack. It was a delightful place to stay.
