The House: La Ramade is set over two levels and sleeps up to eight people and two babies. The upper level includes a very well equipped kitchen, although breakfast on the terrace is recommended. The open plan living/dining area includes triple aspect windows over the surrounding countryside and french windows which lead to the covered terrace. There is also a stone fireplace for log fires and central heating for out of season use. One bedroom is on the upper floor with bathroom, shower and separate toilet.
The garden is set on two levels. The upper level contains a figure of eight swimming pool (8.5m x 5.5m x 4.5m). The pool is surrounded by a paved terrace and grassed area, with barbecue. The lower area is grassed with trees and shrubs and has access to the River Céou and the village centre.

The Area: The Dordogne is one of the most beautiful regions in France and is home to many delightful riverside villages and towns. The area is also known for its cuisine and local specialities include truffles, foie gras, confits de canard and pates. There are many chateaux and excellent local vineyards . Sarlat at night is magical and is one of the most attractive towns in southwest France. It is the capital of the Périgord Noir region and features restaurants and colourful markets on a Wednesday and Saturday. Also nearby are La Roque Gageac which has been voted one of the most beautiful villages in France. Domme, a small village situated high above the Dordogne with fantastic views as well as an excellent open air market. Belvès, a medieval city built on a rocky outcrop dominating the valley of Nauze. It has superb restaurants, famous for their foie Grass and truffles. Local activites include canoeing and fishing on the Dordogne with its many beaches. MAISON LA RAMADE IS AT THE HEART OF THIS
Flights: The nearest airport to La Ramade offering regular flights to and from the U.K. is situated at Bergerac and is just over an hours drive away. Ryanair currently fly from Bristol, London-Stansted, Liverpool and East Midlands, whilst FlyBe operate from Birmingham, Belfast, Gatwick, Manchester, Southampton, Exeter.
The new Valley of the Dordogne airport at Brive has recently opened with flights going to and from The City of London Airport and Paris (Orly), Buenos Aires, Europe, Montreal, Quebec. More UK destinations are being considered.
