Spacious Perigordian House with private heated pool set in 12 acres of land
Set in 12 acres, 'La Blanquette' is surrounded by some of the most beautiful countryside in the Dordogne. A few miles from the Historic town of Sarlat and within easy reach of restaurants, markets, villages and famous Chateaux, the area offers nearby canoeing, golf, fishing, horse riding and tennis. The house itself is constructed from typical sand coloured Dordogne stone and has traditional log wood burners in both the lounge and dining room. The kitchen was completely renovated in 2004 and is fully equipped with dishwasher, microwave, large fridge -freezer and built in electric oven / gas hob. Patio doors from the dining room lead to the south facing main terrace which is enclosed by raised flower beds and decorated with hanging baskets. The gardens, bordered by meadow and woodland, are mainly laid to grass and are planted with mature shrubs and trees including walnut, fig and mulberry. A traditional old stone borie and bread oven is located near the private 6m x 12m pool.

La Blanquette is situated in a small quiet hameau on a hill overlooking the Dordogne Valley. It is in the heart of the enchanting Perigord Noir region, surrounded by rolling countryside and within easy reach of all the famous Dordogne and Vezere Valley beauty spots. Located on the doorstep of the medieval market town of Sarlat, capital of the Perigord Noir, the area is peaceful and relaxing yet ideally situated to explore its many amenities and attractions. Just south of La Blanquette lies the Dordogne river with it's many chateaux, hilltop bastilles and picturesque river front villages. Domme, Roque Gageac, Beynac and Castelnaud are all within a few kilometers To the north lies the Vezere river, famous for it's prehistoric sites and the pretty riverside market towns of Montignac, Les Eyzies and Le Bugue. Between these two beautifully unspoilt rivers lie a series of picture postcard villages and a host of attractions to suit visitors of all ages - a great place to spend your holiday

Notes to the rental rates

All prices are per week. Changeover day is Saturday during the July/August periods, but can be varied during the low season. Long lets/ Midweek/ Weekend lets are available outside the high season.
A deposit of 25% will confirm your booking when received along with your booking form.
The remaining balance is due 8 weeks prior to the rental period at which time a security deposit of £300 is also required, which will be returned immediately after departure inspection and notwithstanding any damages.

| Notes: | The Main Lounge has a log burner in a stone fireplace and beamed ceilings. It is equipped with a DVD player and TV (BBC, ITV & digital freeview). The room has 2 sets of double doors, one opening into the dining room, the other onto the outside 'Courtyard'. The Courtyard has teak garden furniture and is East facing - ideal for those that prefer the shade. The Kitchen has been completely renovated and is fully equipped to modern standards. The Main Terrace is south facing and has a large gas BBQ with Patio table, chairs, loungers and umbrellas. The Dining Room has old Dordogne stone walls and a beamed ceiling. It has a log burner and patio doors that open onto the covered sun terrace. The room is furnished with a large traditional sideboard and a table large enough to seat 12 people. It is equipped with a radio/CD player. Sunloungers and umbrella's are supplied around the pool area. Table tennis, boules etc are also available for use in the garden. |
