Beautiful 18th Century stone house with private pool near Sarlat, Dordogne
'Le Verger' is a charming 18th Century stone house situated on a hilltop, with beautiful views overlooking acres of sloping lawns and woodland. The house has been lovingly restored to an exceptional standard, whilst retaining all its original features. Its private swimming pool (10m x 5m) is just a few metres from the house amongst fruit trees and palms, overlooked by the property's terrace. It is located in one of the most sought after areas of the Dordogne. Within easy reach are the caves of Les Eyzies, the medieval town of Sarlat, and the chateaux of Beynac, Castelnaud, and the walled town of Domme. The Dordogne River and the Groléjac lake, with beaches and water sports, are just a few kilometres away.

| Notes: | 'Le Verger' has been beautifully restored throughout. Original features, including its large stone fireplace, original tiled floors, solid oak beams and an old stone sink, have all been retained. These are blended with the use of high quality materials and excellent design, such as a bespoke solid chestnut kitchen, solid chestnut flooring, staircase and ceilings. Other features include an impressive rafted area in the tower and solid oak curved doors and arches. There is a covered terrace which can be accessed from the living room which is facing the pool and views, ideal for dinning al-fresco. The house is surrounded by acres of lovely countryside which is great for exploring. All bedrooms are large rooms with nice views. Bedroom 1 has one double bed and one single bed. Bedroom 2 has one double bed and a baby cot and bedroom 3 has one double bed and a bunk bed, and bedroom 4 is downstairs and has 2 single beds. The pool is enclosed and alarmed for child safety. |
