Just 15 minutes from Bergerac airport, with flights from London Stanstead, Southampton, Bristol and Birmingham, and 1 hour 20 minutes from Bordeaux International Airport. The villa has gardens to the front and rear, a large pool terrace for sunbathing and relaxing, and covered balconies providing shade for 'al fresco' dining while enjoying spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. Enjoy a degustation of local wines with our caretakers, Maurice and Hugette, or at one of the many local vineyards. Within easy reach there are numerous excellent restaurants and a wide variety of shopping facilities and local markets. For fishing enthusiasts, the Dordogne River is nearby, and for those interested in golfing,a short drive away is the well-known Chateau des Vigiers golf complex, which has excellent restaurant facilities and two less expensive courses at Miramont and Marmande. The property is also ideally situated to visit the region's many tourist attractions.

Nearby there is a variety interesting places to visit, notably, the fairytale chateau at Monbazillac, the Bastide Towns and the famous pre-historic caves at Les Eyzies. Local morning markets, well worth a vist, include Bergerac and Ste Foy La Grande (Sat) , Eymet (Thurs) and Issegeac (Sun). Don't miss out on a visit to the night market at Monbazillac where you can enjoy 'moules and frites' and sample a selection of local produce. Sigoules a few klms.away, has adequate shopping facilities and ammenities including,a well-stocked 'Shoppi, a bar/restaurant, a pizzeria, a bank and a Pharmacie. A 15 min drive from the house is a shopping complex with, large stores, small shops, restaurants and a Le Clerc supermarket. Chateau Belingard, within walking distance, provides an enjoyable and informative tour and 'degustation'in Eng. Bergerac 10 klms away has a wide variety of shops and restaurants and a picturesque 'Old Town' where you can shop eat or sample a selection of local wines.

The property has two spacious living rooms providing plenty of space for both adults and children to relax, watch TV listen to music or read. A selection of adult and children's movies and books are provided for use during your stay. Bergerac (10 km) the nearest large town has a variety of excellent coffee bars and restaurants and a wide range of shops. The busy Saturday market has stalls selling local produce clothes and household goods and at the Sunday market in the 'old town' you can browse among a variety of stalls selling both large and small antique household items. Between Bergerac and St. Foy Le Grande, 15 min drive from the house, there is a large shopping complex with a Le Clerc supermarket, a petrol station, a Macdonalds and a variety of large stores and small shops selling clothes, shoes, toys and household goods.
At Chateau des Vigies (15 km) there is a magnificent 18 hole golf course with an excellent restaurant. Nearby there are numerous local markets, which are advertised in the local paper, the Sud Ouest. The fairy tale Chateau at Monbazillac, the Bastide towns and the famous prehistoric caves at Les Eysies are all within easy reach.
