Beautiful house, stunning views

We stayed in Le Belvedere for 2 weeks in August 2009, and loved every minute of it. The house, which is exactly as described on the website, has been recently restored to a very high standard. There is ample space for 8 people, and it is particularly safe and well equipped for families with small children. The top floor provides a real haven for teenagers, with a huge flat screen TV and DVD player. The view from the balcony here is amazing - on a clear day you can see for 40 kms or more (and we enjoyed many clear days!).
The kitchen is well equipped, and we loved its proximity to the large dining terrace outside - the window makes a great serving hatch! The terrace table comfortably fits 10 people, and there’s a good barbeque.
We enjoyed many happy hours relaxing on the terrace and in the pool. There are plenty of loungers and parasols. Because the house is positioned on the highest point in the village, there is nearly always a light breeze, very welcome on the hotter days. The pool is a fine size, very clean and well maintained, and there are lots of pool toys/buoyancy aids for the children.
The study contains a computer with internet access (Broadband), useful for those who want to keep up with what’s happening back home, or just to check the local weather forecast!
The house was spotless when we arrived, and we really appreciated the thoughtful provision of a welcome pack of bread, milk, cheese, wine, water etc.
We would criticise the house on only 2 counts: There is only 1 shower (plus 2 baths), and there’s a lot of traffic through the village, which can be very noisy in the early mornings. Otherwise, the village is a great holiday location. We particularly liked being able to stroll around to the Boulangerie every morning - the Pains au Raisins were a great favourite, but you need to get there early or they’ll be gone!
