St Vincent Jalmoutiers is a pretty little village close to St Aulaye and Riberac. It is in the heart of a farming area with plenty of woodland cris-crossed by rivers linking to the Dronne. Nearby is La Jemaye, a nature reserve with a lovely beach, bathing, and play area suitable for families and there are others on the river at St Aulaye and Aubeterre. Vineyards at St Emilion, distilleries at Cognac, prehistoric caves at Lascaux, and the seaside at Royan and La Rochelle are all a comfortable day out. Weekly markets abound in the nearby towns where local produce - fruit, vegetables, meat, and seafood - await you.

The washing machine and clothes dryer are in an extensive basement/garage which has huge space for clothes drying on wet days while outside there are clothes lines. Outside there is a covered dining terrace looking onto the swimming pool. While there is a small outside barbecue, there is another large barbecue in the kitchen which has a sliding door to the main dining balcony overlooking the garden.

Children

The house is ideal for children. There is a large children's library and games room, the swimming pool has an alarm and a safety cover which can be moved only by an adult. The garden is completely fenced. There is a staircase leading down to the basement but a childproof gate can be fitted on request.
